Bally Bet Online Sportsbook Review & Promo Code

Bally Bet is a fantastic new addition to the online sports betting marketplace. With the iconic Bally brand recognizable to bettors and, more importantly, the impressive technology of Bet.Works (also owned by Bally’s) powering the site, we have every reason to believe Bally Bet will be a mainstay in every state in which it ends up operating in.

Bally Bet officially hit the U.S. market in May 2021, beginning in Colorado before making its way through Iowa, Virginia, and Indiana to cap off a massive first year for the hospitality titan’s mobile betting arm. Both Arizona and New York joined the list in 2022 and more expansion is on the way with additional states primed to follow.

Now a part of Twin River Worldwide Holdings, Bally’s is once again ready for major U.S. growth. The Bally Bet product exceeds expectations with an excellent website, quality mobile app, and solid promotions. We’ll recap it all for you, down below.

Where you can Bally Bet right now

Colorado

Bally Bet is one of the latest sportsbooks to begin its journey throughout the U.S. It launched first in Colorado, a state known for its innovative regulatory structure. It has been common for new books to start in the Centennial State.

Colorado officials work closely with sportsbooks to ensure seamless entry into the state. They approve almost any new type of bet brought to them. Colorado is a great starting point to work out any kinks and establish brand recognition while mapping out a strategy to overtake industry leaders such as DraftKings or FanDuel.

Betway, MaximBetCirca Sports, and Superbook Sports, among other books, have all started out in Colorado. Now it has well over 20 operators competing for the attention of Rockies, Broncos, Nuggets, and Avalanche fans alike.

With its three casinos in Black Hawk, horse track in Aurora, and numerous OTB licenses, Bally’s actually has an established presence and a trove of data about its Colorado customers. These properties and an in-depth knowledge of the state’s gaming market give Bally Bet a significant advantage over most of the other operators in the state.

Iowa

Bally’s has a partnership with Elite Casino Resorts, which owns and operates three premier casinos in the state along with Elite Sportsbook, a niche sportsbook available in Iowa and Colorado. Elite Sportsbook also uses Bet.Works to power its platform. It is owned by Bally’s and used to power the Bally Bet platform. Bally’s publicly foreshadowed its intention to bring Bally Bet to the Hawkeye State, officially launching on June 29, 2021.

Indiana

Bally Bet officially went live in the Hoosier State on December 16, 2021. It happened shortly after its parent company purchased the Tropicana Evansville for an estimated $480 million. After acquiring the Evansville casino, Bally’s changed the property’s name to Bally’s Evansville. It would go on to use one of its online skins to launch its mobile app in the state.

Virginia

On March 15, 2021, Bally’s applied for a betting license in Virginia and they approved their application. Bally Bet joined the party in VA on November 24, 2021. It became the final sportsbook brand to go live in the state during that year. Since Virginia’s sports betting market remains online-only, Bally Bet operates on a stand-alone license.

Arizona

Bally Bet joined Arizona’s growing sports betting industry on May 5, 2022 through market access acquired from the brand’s 15-year partnership with the Phoenix Mercury. The launch kicked off with a brand new mobile app, dubbed Bally Bet 2.0. The company has only rolled out its updated platform in Arizona and New York thus far. That means the company will restrict Bally Bet players located in CO, IA, IN, and VA to the older version of the app.

New York

Bally Bet secured access to the New York sports betting market in late 2021 and officially launched in the Empire State the following summer on July 7, 2022. This move made Bally Bet the ninth and final online sportsbook to go live in New York, pending any future expansion. Similar to Arizona, Bally Bet players located in New York have exclusive access to the Bally Bet 2.0 mobile app. It’s a brand new, updated version of the app currently available to those based in CO, IA, IN, and VA.

Where next for Bally Bet?

It is no real surprise that Bally Bet started in Colorado. But where will the sportsbook go live next? It stands to reason that the next states will be where the company has an existing presence. That, and Bally’s also stated on its website where it plans on bringing Bally Bet next… so we had some help. Here they are:

Illinois

Similar to Bally’s Indiana expansion, the company purchased an existing casino in Illinois as its entrance into the state. Jumer’s Casino and Hotel in Rock Island, IL became the newest Bally’s property on June 14, 2021. The company finalized a deal worth $120 million. Jumer’s Casino was rebranded as Bally’s Quad Cities Casino & Hotel in September 2021.

In a happy coincidence, Jumer’s did not have an online skin at the time of purchase, thus opening the door for Bally Bet to launch in Illinois. As a result, we expect Bally Bet to expand into the Land of Lincoln at some point in the near future.

On May 5, 2022, Bally’s announced that it had been selected by the City of Chicago to receive the city’s lone casino license for an upcoming $1.7-billion casino resort to be built in downtown Chicago. Bally’s Chicago will contain an estimated 500 hotel rooms, a loaded casino, and an outdoor music venue, among many other incredible amenities. The building is expected to open by 2026.

Louisiana

Bally’s Corporation purchased the Eldorado Shreveport in December 2020, officially closing on a deal worth $140 million. They rebranded the property as Bally’s Shreveport Casino & Hotel in November 2021, nearly one year later.

Louisiana launched its statewide iGaming market on January 28, 2022. However, it is still awaiting the arrival of Bally Bet. Both the Eldorado rebrand and the fact that Bally Sports New Orleans is the name of the New Orleans regional sports channel bode extremely well for Bally Bet’s chances of landing in Louisiana. Expect the brand to arrive in LA before it’s all said and done.

Nevada

Bally’s is still in the process of acquiring the Tropicana Las Vegas, after announcing a deal worth $308 million back in April 2021. Once Bally’s owns the Tropicana, it seems reasonable to assume that they will attempt to bring Bally Bet to the Silver State. This may not happen in the near term, but a future launch is not out of the question.

New Jersey

Bally’s owns the Bally’s Atlantic City casino, which currently does not have an online sportsbook partner. However, the casino does have a FanDuel-branded retail sportsbook. No word on whether that partnership will continue, but it seems likely that Bally’s will use its vacant online sports betting license to bring Bally Bet to New Jersey sometime in the near future.

Pennsylvania

What we know: Bally Bet will eventually be live in Pennsylvania. What we don’t know: Pretty much everything else. Bally’s is in the process of constructing a brand new mini-casino in State College, which will include a sportsbook.

The mini-casino is reportedly going to cost Bally’s an estimated $120 million. It will occupy a former Macy’s department store at the Nittany Mall near Penn State University. Because PA online sportsbooks can only operate by partnering with an existing casino (no online-only licenses), Bally’s will likely wait until its newest retail casino project is finished before bringing Bally Bet to the state.

How to sign up with Bally Bet

Sign up Process at Bally Bet Signing up for a Bally Bet account is quick and easy. Players in Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, and Virginia can get started by downloading the older version of the Bally Bet app. They list it as Bally Bet – CO/IA/IN/VA on both the App Store and Google Play Store.

Players located in New York and Arizona can download the newer version of the app. They simply label the app as Bally Bet Sportsbook. Once inside either app, hit “Join Now” or “Register” in the upper right hand corner to begin the sign-up process.

Here are the steps you need to follow to sign up for an account:

  1. First, create your profile. This includes a username, password, and email address.
  2. Once you have created your profile, you will be asked to share some personal information, including your legal name, birthdate, home address, cell phone number and the last 4 digits of your social security number. But be sure your name matches what is on your drivers license. For example, if you normally go by Ted but your real name is Theodore, you need to put down Theodore, even if the only person who calls you Theodore is your partner when they are mad at you. Bally Bet needs this information to confirm your identity to ensure you are of legal betting age. Don’t worry, Bally Bet uses industry-leading security, so your information is safe.
  3. After that, you’ll just have to create two security questions, acknowledge you understand the terms and conditions, and confirm that you are at least 21 years old. That’s it!

Bally Bet welcome offer

Bally Bet has regularly offered competitive welcome offers for new sportsbook customers. Therefore, stay tuned as we prepare our next promotion.

Bally Bet reward program(s)

A majority of sportsbooks don’t have a loyalty program at all. They offer promotions and competitive lines and call it a day. This makes sense because sports bettors don’t always need extra incentive to bet on sports. But not having a loyalty program may make bettors more likely to shop around and use multiple sportsbooks. That reduces brand loyalty.

Not the case with Bally Bet. The sportsbook has not one but two loyalty programs: Trophy Case and the popular Bally Rewards program. Bally-owned casinos have long offered Bally Rewards, and now the sportsbook also offers it. It is flashy and looks great, but the payouts can be small. Still, a small payout is better than no payout at all. Let’s go over both programs:

Trophy Case

They designed the Trophy Case program to reward prolific Bally Bet bettors (Bally Bettors?). It features three ways to earn “trophies,” including betting on 10 specific sports, placing certain types of bets such as straight bets and parlays, and winning certain bet types like a multi-leg parlay or a long-odds bet.

These trophies come with catchy names, including Underdog Whisperer, Parlay Pro, and Streaking Star. The Trophy Case is pretty much a marketing ploy, but it does include free credit for meeting certain requirements.

For example: after winning five consecutive wagers, you’ll receive a $10 credit. After seven straight winning bets = $20 and after ten straight winners, you’ll win an extra $50. If you’re going to be making bets on your favorite sports anyway, this is a nice added bonus.

Bally Bet Trophy Case Creative Program

Bally Rewards

Almost every casino has a loyalty program. It is becoming more common for large casino brands like Caesars to integrate rewards into their sports betting platforms.

For sports betting, the rewards structure is pretty simple. For every $2 bet, you get a certain number of rewards points. The number of points varies depending on the type of bet. A $2 straight bet gets you 1 point, a $2 teaser bet gets you 2 points. Each leg of a parlay bet earns you one point.

So a $2 10-leg parlay that has a 1% chance of winning gets you 20 rewards points. This seems pretty solid, until you learn that 2,000 rewards points gets you just $1 in free credit. So you have to bet $4,000 in straight bets to earn a buck in credit. Not a very good deal. This appears to be a case of flashy marketing covering up a weak rewards program.

Red Card Treatment

Bally Bet has a third rewards program, but they have shrouded it in secrecy. The company does not disclose what is included in its VIP program. However, if you have VIP status at another casino or sportsbook, it would be worth your time to email Bally Bet to inquire about their “Red Card Treatment.”

Bally Bet desktop browser review

Using the terms “clean” and “simple” to describe a sportsbook website is a term of endearment. It’s a good thing to be clean and uncluttered. Bally Bet’s website is a master class in decluttering.

The red details pop, the page is spaced out well, and the information you need is there while superfluous information you don’t need is absent. And if you like prop bets, Bally Bet is the sportsbook for you. During testing, NBA games had 80 or more bets available. Every game in just about every other major sport had many choices.

The variety of sports available is extensive but not quite as prolific as DraftKings or FanDuel, particularly in Colorado, where every sport is potentially available. They offer all of the major sports, including some lesser-known sports like table tennis and Big 3 Basketball. Your bet ticket is prominently displayed on the right side of the screen. You can easily combine individual bets into teasers and parlays with a few clicks.

It is worth noting that only players based in Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, and Virginia currently have access to the desktop version of Bally Bet. Players in both New York and Arizona are restricted to placing their action on mobile through the updated version of Bally Bet’s app. Bally Bet Website Platform

Live betting

The live betting feature is adequate, but it does not feature real-time information on each play that can be found on other sportsbooks. They update scores using official league data and continually update lines.

During testing, Bally Bet offered different prices and markets than DraftKings, with only a few live-betting options available for an MLB day game compared to the dozens of markets on DraftKings. The prices varied, but they were consistently better, particularly if you wanted to take the underdog.

Overall, Bally Bet’s platform, developed by Bet.Works, gives bettors a great experience and offers competitive prices. Bally Bet has proven to be a worthy entrant into the crowded sports betting marketplace.

Bally Bet mobile app review

As briefly mentioned throughout this page, Bally Bet currently has two separate apps available for download on the App Store and Google Play. They list the first of the two apps as Bally Bet – CO/IA/IN/VA. As its name implies, it is only available for use in Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, and Virginia.

The original Bally Bet app was the first to launch, but it is expected to be overtaken by the Bally Bet 2.0 app that recently debuted in Arizona and New York. The app stores list the newer, updated version of the Bally Bet mobile app as Bally Bet Sportsbook. It currently only accepts action from users in AZ and NY.

For now, the apps are fairly similar. Once you log in and allow the app to use your location, you are ready to start wagering. The website features live games first along with prominently displayed promotions on a rotating banner ad.

All of the available sports are easily accessible at the top of the screen. You can find all the upcoming games by scrolling down the page. Once you find a bet you want to make, just tap the button and your bets will appear on the bet ticket tab at the bottom of the screen – the newer version of the app creates a pop-up menu containing any selections made.

The browser version of Bally Bet allows users to easily turn multiple straight bets into a parlay or teaser. It immediately displays the potential payout amount, which is a nice option for those who enjoy those sorts of bets. If you prefer multi-leg wagers and want exotic betting options like player props, you will like Bally Bet.

About Bally Bet

The Bally Corporation has been around in some form for about 90 years. It started as a pinball machine manufacturing company and grew to create and distribute slot machines, vending machines, and even electric razors.

The company took many different turns before getting into online sports betting. They even bought a theme park company (Six Flags) and a health club business. Remember Bally Total Fitness? Casinos have always been at the core of Bally’s, and Bally’s Las Vegas and Bally’s Atlantic City remain iconic casinos in their respective cities.

Caesars Entertainment owned Bally’s until 2020. Unyielding development left its long-time location on the Las Vegas strip untouched. As Caesars grew and merged with other companies, it decided to shed some of its properties.

In 2020, Caesars sold the Bally’s brand to Twin River Worldwide Holdings. This Rhode Island-based company has a few existing casinos, but it does not have a marquee brand. They had cash to spend and jumped at the opportunity to rebrand using the Bally’s name. Notably, the sale did not include Bally’s Las Vegas, which remains a Caesars property. Yes, Bally’s does not own Bally’s Las Vegas. Very strange.

Bally’s Corp. owns Bally’s Atlantic City and countless additional properties in more than a dozen states across the map. The company is making big moves and seems to be doing quite well, based on its healthy balance sheet and rising stock price. The time seems right to introduce Bally Bet to the country.
