$1K First Bet Refund Welcome Offer Explained

It is best to consider your Barstool bonus offer as a form of first-bet insurance. Wager anywhere from $10 to $1,000, and if your bet does not come out in the green, Barstool Sportsbook will refund your account in full in the form of bonus cash.

One of the most enticing elements of Barstool’s welcome offer is being paid out in bonus cash. Most sportsbooks will offer risk-free bets that are paid back in the form of free bets – bonus cash is better because a winning wager using your bonus cash will pay out just like regular cash. Let’s go over an example: you win a $20 bet using bonus cash at +100 odds. This wager would pay out $40 ($20 stake + $20 in winnings). If you mimicked the same wager using a free bet, it would only pay out $20 (would not include the stake).

This is one of the primary reasons why this welcome offer is a slam dunk for new users. To activate your offer, follow these steps:

  • To get started and create your Barstool Sportsbook account, use this link: SHNEWS1000.
  • Insert promo code SHNEWS1000 to ensure you are in line to receive your welcome offer.
  • Make an initial deposit of at least $10.

Once your funds have landed in your account, it is time to place your welcome offer wager. If you don’t like either side or the total for tonight’s SEC clash, your bonus offer extends to any Barstool Sportsbook market.

Mississippi State at Tennessee Preview

  • Date: Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023
  • Time: 7:00 pm ET
  • TV: ESPN2
  • Location: Thompson-Boling Arena, Knoxville, Tennessee
  • Teams: Mississippi State Bulldogs (11-2) vs. #8 Tennessee Volunteers (11-2)
  • Barstool Sportsbook Odds: Tennessee -9.5, O/U 123

Each team stands at 11-2 and will play their second game in the SEC tonight at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The Vols started their conference slate with a win over an underrated Ole Miss squad, while the Mississippi State Bulldogs fell short against one of the SEC’s best in Alabama.

The Volunteers come into this game at 11-2 and are ranked in the Top 10 in the country. Tennessee is coming off one of its best years in program history, winning its first SEC Tournament title since 1979, but all of that came to a disappointing end when double-digit seeded Michigan bounced them in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Bulldogs are also 11-2 but have fallen in their last two. Mississippi State has generated some decent out-of-conference results, beating Marquette and Utah, but they aren’t nearly as battle-tested as their opponent tonight. The Bulldogs are in their first year under new head coach Chris Jans, who is coming from New Mexico State. Jans made three NCAA Tournaments (would have been four if not for the 2020 cancellation) in five seasons in Las Cruces and looks to bring similar success to Starkville.

Both of these teams are built very similarly. According to KenPom rankings, the Bulldogs are currently rated as the no. 6 team in defensive efficiency in the entire country, while Tennessee is number one in the same category. In addition, neither team plays at a particularly fast pace, which explains the low point total.

A win tonight for Mississippi State would be a massive boost towards their first NCAA berth since 2019 and the most significant win to date in Jans’ tenure.
