Titans at Packers game details + betting preview

  • Date: Thursday, November 17, 2022
  • Start Time: 8:15pm ET
  • TV Channel: Amazon Prime Video
  • Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • Participants: Tennessee Titans (6-3) vs Green Bay Packers (4-6)
  • FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Packers -3.5 (-102), O/U 41.5

Tennessee Titans +3.5 at FanDuel Sportsbook

HC Mike Vrabel and his Tennessee Titans (6-3, 7-2 ATS) are absolutely rolling at the moment, having lost just one game since Week 2 and currently sitting atop the AFC South standings in sole possession of first place. Tennessee has also covered the spread in seven straight games and now is tied with the New York Giants as the NFL’s best team against the spread (7-2).

Tennessee enters tonight’s game following a tough win at home over the struggling Denver Broncos, which required the Titans to storm back from a 10-0 deficit late in the second quarter. Tennessee will now hit the road for the sixth time already this season, a spot where they are a respectable 3-2 overall with an extremely narrow lose to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime just two weeks ago on Sunday Night Football.

The Titans are a bit banged up ahead of tonight’s chiller at Lambeau Field, as starting C Ben Jones, LB Bud Dupree, S Amani Hooker, and K Randy Bullock are all set to miss Thursday Night Football. DT Jeffery Simmons is also listed as questionable, but should be in tonight’s lineup.

In any case, expect the Titans to take advantage of the Packers’ suspect run defense in the freezing cold weather, as Green Bay ranks bottom-5 in the NFL in terms of rushing yards allowed (1,406), yards per carry allowed (4.8), and first downs allowed via rushing (76).

Green Bay Packers -3.5 with FanDuel

Packers HC Matt LaFleur and the scuffling Green Bay Packers (4-6, 4-6 ATS) may have found new life when they rallied back from a 28-14 deficit late in the second half of Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Green Bay not only managed to tie the game, but went on to win outright in overtime, 31-28. Following a momentous win as big as that one, the Packers’ season may be back on as they head into Week 11.

Similar to Green Bay’s opponent in tonight’s game, the Packers are dealing with a ton of injuries of their own. Starting offensive linemen David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins are listed as questionable for Thursday Night Football, while LB De’Vondre Campbell has been officially ruled out. Rookie wideout Romeo Doubs will also miss tonight’s game. On the bright side, veteran WR Randall Cobb is set to return for the first time in four games after suffering an ankle injury.

Considering Green Bay’s struggles when it comes stopping the run, facing Derrick Henry on a short week is not ideal to say the least. This spot looks even worse when you highlight the fact that Green Bay enters tonight’s game coming off arguably its biggest and most emotional win of the season, a hard-fought comeback that required overtime to take down one of the league’s better teams. And if you needed any more convincing, Green Bay has been a downright awful favorite in 2022, going 1-5 ATS when laying points this season.
