$1,000 Risk-Free Bet details, terms, and conditions

Those who wish to claim a Risk-Free Bet at BetMGM Sportsbook will need to be a first-time user with the industry-leading site, over the age of 21 years old, and presently located within state lines of a participating BetMGM state at the time of wagering.

If you believe you qualify based on the criteria above, you can get started by doing the following:

  • Register for a new BetMGM Sportsbook account using the bonus code HANDLETOP. Clicking on that link will take you directly to the site where your offer will be automatically applied.
  • Make an initial deposit exceeding $10 in order to qualify for the promotion.
  • Place a $10-$1,000 sports bet on any market or event for your risk-free bet. You can wager on the Allstate Sugar Bowl between Alabama and Kansas State, or opt to wager on a different sport – the choice is yours.

If that first bet does end up settling as a loss, BetMGM will come to the rescue with a 100% refund in the form of free bet credits. All free bet credits will arrive within 24 hours of the wager’s settlement and must be used within 7 days of being received or they will expire.

Wagers equaling $50 or less will be paid back with one single-use bet credit, whereas anything over $50 will arrive in five separate increments, each worth 20% of the initial stake.

Keep in mind that while any winnings earned from free bet credits are yours to keep, the value of the free bet credit will not be included in your return – that stays with BetMGM win or lose.

No. 5 Alabama Crimson Tide -7 at BetMGM

Although they will come into this afternoon’s Allstate Sugar Bowl sitting at 10-2 overall while ranking No. 5 in the nation, HC Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide (10-2, 5-6-1 ATS) would probably consider this season one to forget.

Both of Alabama’s two losses on the year occurred on the road by a combined margin of just four points, but they were more than enough to keep the Crimson Tide out of the College Football Playoff for just the second time in the format’s history. Alabama also failed to qualify for the CFP during the 2019-20 season, meaning Saban’s bunch has now missed the event as many times as they’ve made over the last four years. Regardless of how disappointing 2022 may or may not feel for some players and coaches within Alabama’s program, the Tide plans on leaving it all on the field this afternoon.

After tons of speculation that a few of Alabama’s key players and future-NFL Draft picks could potentially opt-out of this one, it was confirmed that both QB Bryce Young and LB Will Anderson will suit up and play one last game for the Tide before likely being selected in the Top 10 of the 2023 NFL Draft. Alabama did lose a bit of depth at wide receiver following the departures of WR Traeshon Holden and WR JoJo Earle via the transfer portal, but generally speaking, it’s all systems go for Saban and co. this afternoon.

No. 9 Kansas State Wildcats +7 with BetMGM Sportsbook

It was nothing short of a magical season for the Kansas State Wildcats (10-3, 9-3-1 ATS) in Year 4 of head coach Chris Klieman’s tenure, as they managed to lock up both the program’s highest win total since 2012 and an unexpected Big 12 Championship victory over the undefeated TCU Horned Frogs, who will play in tonight’s CFP Semifinal against Michigan.

The Wildcats will now attempt to pull off the upset as a 7-point underdog against a loaded Alabama team that will have the majority of its key pieces on the field for the Sugar Bowl. A win would not only cap off an incredible run for KSU and extend the team’s current winning streak to five games, but it would also tie them for the most wins in program history with 11. The legendary Bill Snyder set the mark back in 1997 and tied his own personal best six times after that by notching 11 wins in 1998-2000, 2002, 2003, and 2012.

The Wildcats will once again be without QB Adrian Martinez, who has been sidelined for each of the team’s previous three contests with a lower body injury and was forced to miss the Big 12 Championship Game. Junior backup QB Will Howard has strived in Martinez’s absence, taking the majority of snaps under center during K-State’s four-game winning streak. Fifth-year senior Malik Knowles, the team’s leading wide receiver with 719 yards on the season, is good to go for the Sugar Bowl after suffering a minor injury in the first half of the Big 12 title game.
