New players at BetMGM can claim their welcome bonus by completing the following steps:
- Sign up for a brand new account with our BetMGM bonus code HANDLETOP.
- Deposit some funds – it doesn’t have to be a ton, anything over $10 will work.
- Place your first bet on any sporting event offered at BetMGM up to $1,000. You can wager more than $1K if you’d like, just keep in mind that the promotion is capped at that amount.
Win or lose, you’ll walk away withΒ something. If that initial wager hits, you’ll immediately receive your winnings in cash as you would with any other standard sports bet. If your wager happens to come up short, however, BetMGM will award all eligible accounts with a 100% refund in the form of free bets.
A few things to keep in mind when it comes to BetMGM free bets:
- BetMGM will typically dish out the free bet credits within 24 hours of your risk-free bet’s settlement – if you haven’t received yours within that window, reach out to a customer support representative.
- Any amount over $50 lost during the promotion will be reimbursed in increments of 20%. This means that if a player lost a risk-free bet worth $200, they would receive five (5) free bets worth $40 apiece.
- Free bets will unfortunately expire if they remain unused after 7 days of issuance – use them quickly!
- Free bets will never return the stake on any bets won, only the winnings. For example, if a user placed a $20 free bet on the Broncos -3.5 at -105 and won, they would only get back $19 in winnings. If the same $20 wager was placed on the Broncos -3.5 at -105 in cash and won, the bettor would get their original $20 stake back in addition to the $19 in winnings, totaling $39.

Colts vs Broncos betting preview
This week’s Thursday Night Football clash will feature a pair of moderately disappointing teams out of the AFC in the Indianapolis Colts (1-2-1) and the Denver Broncos (2-2). Aside from their poor starts, these two teams have a ton in common heading into tonight’s matchup. Both sides will be led by an aging veteran at quarterback donning new threads for the first time in their respective 10+ year careers, both teams lost their starting running back in Week 4 and will be forced to start a backup, and both sides will be without their best defensive player in Shaquille Leonard for the Colts and Randy Gregory for the Broncos.
BetMGM Sportsbook currently has Denver listed as the favorite at -3.5, available at -105. Indianapolis +3.5 is on the board at -115, while Colts moneyline is up for grabs at +150. The game total sits at 42.5 points.
Colts +3.5 (-115) at BetMGM Sportsbook
Colts HC Frank Reich is seemingly on the hot seat entering Week 5 of his fifth season leading the team. Following an abysmal start that included a tie against Houston and a shutout loss to Jacksonville, Indy bounced back bigly against the Kansas Chiefs in Week 3, holding one of the league’s most explosive offenses to 17 points to get back to .500 on the season. After a poor performance against Tennessee in Week 4 dropped the Colts to 1-2-1 overall, Thursday night in Denver is looking more and more like a ‘must-win’ for Reich and co.
As briefly mentioned above, Indianapolis will be without its best player on both offense and defense on Thursday night, as RB Jonathon Taylor was deemed out with an ankle injury, while LB Shaquille Leonard suffered a concussion against Tennessee and will also remain on the sidelines. Luckily for Indy backers, the line hasn’t moved much as a result and the Colts should still have a good chance at keeping this one relatively close.
Since 2018, Reich’s first season with the team, Indianapolis is a stellar 13-7-2 (65%) against the spread when playing as an underdog away from home. In those 22 games, Indianapolis has won outright in nine times (9-13 SU). Considering Leonard was absent for Indy’s defensive clinic against Kansas City and Taylor was outright struggling before getting injured (4 yards per rush attempt, 4.9 yards per catch – both career lows), the Colts should still be able to grind this one out and stay within the number.
Indiana-based bettors (and those in other states, too) can get in on the action and back the hometown Colts +3.5 at BetMGM.
Broncos -3.5 (-105) with BetMGM
First-year Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett has endured a rough start to his tenure in Denver. After crawling to a rather ugly but doable 2-1 start, the Broncos suffered a crushing loss to the 0-3 Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4, who entered the game as one of just two remaining NFL teams without a win on the season. Denver will now return home to Empower Field, where they are undefeated on the season at 2-0.
Similar to the Colts, Denver will be without two of its top playmakers in tonight’s game, as starting RB Javonte Williams was placed on IR after tearing his ACL and LCL against Las Vegas, while DE Randy Gregory joined him with a less severe but still notable injury in his right knee.
Despite playing in one of the NFL’s toughest road environments over the years, Denver has struggled a bit as of late when trying to cover the spread at Mile High. Since 2020, the Broncos are a mediocre 8-11 ATS across all home games. Keeping this in mind, coupled with the fact that Denver’s offense has failed to put up more than 16 points in three of its four games thus far, it doesn’t seem very wise to lay the hook in a matchup that should come down to the wire.
Colorado players (and those in other legal states) can snag the local Broncos -3.5 over at BetMGM.
