The BetMGM Sportsbook bonus code HANDLETOP grants new customers up to $1,000 paid back in bonus bets if their first bet doesn’t win. A first bet win nets the winnings and the stake just like any normal bet. A lose will return whatever you lost in bonus bets — so if you bet $100 on the White Sox against the Astros on Thursday and they lose, you’ll get $100 back in bonus bets.

Customers need to be 21+, reside in a BetMGM location besides D.C. and New York and have a valid payment method to qualify. You only need a $10 deposit and to make your first bet in order to be eligible for the bonus bets.

Click below and use bonus code HANDLETOP to place your first bet with BetMGM Sportsbook.

Thursday marks the Opening Day of the MLB season as we have a full slate of games throughout the day. Our first bet offer with BetMGM is best used in a plus bet so we will look at the three later games for a three-leg parlay for the most value out of our offer.

First, the Chicago White Sox take on the defending champion Houston Astros at 7:08 p.m. ET. Next, we get AL and NL West matchups with the LA Angels vs. the Oakland Athletics and the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Keep reading to find all the baseball action on Opening Day and how to use your first bet offer with BetMGM.

BetMGM bonus code sign-up

  1. First, we go to BetMGM Sportsbook and select our state.
  2. Next, we find the register button and fill out all information needed to create a new account.
  3. Deposit at least $10 and make a real-money wager on any market or odds.

Details of BetMGM first bet offer

The first bet offer with bonus code HANDLETOP nets new customers up to $1,000 paid back in bonus bets if their first bet doesn’t win. The offer is only valid if the bet settles as a loss β€” a win pays the earnings and stake from the bet.

Additionally, new customers in all locations, besides D.C. and New York, can choose to take advantage of a different introductory offer. New customers can use bonus code HANDLETOPCBB and make a $10 college basketball moneyline wager for $200 in bonus bets.

If you wager $50 or less, your bonus bets hit your account within 24 hours. If the first bet is $51-$1,000, BetMGM will send five payments of bonus bets each worth 20 percent of the stake loss up to $1,000.

Customers can only take advantage of one introductory offer and the bonus bets must be used within seven days of receipt into the account.

How do you take advantage of your bonus bets? Bonus bets can be used in pieces or all at once and a bonus bet wager is only eligible for the winnings of the bet not the original stake.

For example, we wager on MLB Thursday games and now place a $100 wager of bonus bets on Friday for the Phoenix Suns +150 to upset the Denver Nuggets at home.

  • A Suns win pays $150 in cash but the $100 of bonus bets disappear
  • If we had deposited our own cash for the wager, we net the $150 and the $100 stake

MLB Opening Day parlay with BetMGM

There is some buzz coming into this new season as we will see new rules such as the pitch clock which aims to bring down the average MLB game at least 30 minutes of real time. Baseball is trying to re-create the excitement of the recent World Baseball Classic in order to reach a new and younger audience.

Our offer with BetMGM is best used in a plus money scenario because we either get more money than we normally would wager on or we get bonus bets to cover our stake loss up to $1,000.

Let’s say you want to bet this three-team parlay with your first wager on the BetMGM platform.

First, we grab the Houston Astros -155 to take down the Chicago White Sox. It’s still very early in the year but it would be hard to bet against the defending champs.

Next, we grab the LA Angels to win on the road against the A’s. The Athletics are projected to be at the bottom of the AL West this season and Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout have much to prove with the struggling Angels franchise.

Finally, let’s take the Dodgers -175 at home over the Diamondbacks. There is talent everywhere on this Dodgers roster and we can take advantage of favorable odds early in the season while the markets adjust to the team performances.

These three would net us +273. So here’s what can happen if we placed a $100 bet as our first wager.

  • If the parlay wins, we win $273, and keep the initial $100. That’s now $373 cash we can keep betting, or withdraw.
  • If the parlay loses, we’ll get $100 back in bonus bets.

The bonus bets then must be wagered, and act like a credit in which you keep any profits from bonus bets, but not the bet itself.
