Your promotion ends there – but if you lose, this is where BetMGM comes to the rescue. BetMGM Sportsbook will provide you with a 100% refund in the form of a bonus bet.
Your bonus bet will land in your account within 24 hours of your first betβs settlement. If your wager is $50 or less, you will receive one bonus bet equal to your lost stake. If your wager is more than $50, you will receive five bonus bets, each 20% of your lost stake. You will have one week to use your bonus bets before they expire.
If you win a wager using a bonus bet, BetMGM will not pay out the initial stake – just the winnings. For example, if you place a $20 bonus bet wager on a market with +400 odds, you would receive $80 for a win, not $100 ($20 stake + $80 in winnings).
New York Knicks at Boston CelticsΒ
- Date: Thursday, January 26, 2023
- Tip-off: 7:30 pm ET
- TV Channel: TNT
- Location: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts
- Participants: New York Knicks (26-23) vs. Boston Celtics (35-14)
- BetMGM Sportsbook Odds: Celtics -8, O/U 226.5
The Celtics are coming off a tough loss at Miami. The Celtics were almost able to overcome missing four key contributors from their lineup, including Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart. But they fell just short, losing by three points to a pesky Heat team. This means Boston is in the midst of a measly two-game losing streak.
Losing has been rare for the NBAβs best team. Boston is three games ahead of the next best team in the Eastern Conference as they seem to be on a mission to improve on their NBA Finals loss last year.
On the other side, the Knicks were able to snap a four-game losing streak with a surprising win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night. Julius Randle scored 36 points in the victory as New York is on the cusp of escaping the NBA play-in tournament. Heading into this matchup, the Knicks are the Eastern Conferenceβs seven-seed, but they are just one game back of the Heat for the sixth spot.
Although itβll be a tough order to come into TD Garden and get a win, New York has been able to do more damage away from Madison Square. The Knicks are 14-10 away from home court.Β
This will be these teamβs second matchup of four total for the year. The Celtics won the first matchup, 133-118, back in the first week of November.
Dallas Mavericks at Phoenix Suns
- Date: Thursday, January 26, 2023
- Tip-off: 10:00 pm ET
- TV Channel: TNT
- Location: Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona
- Participants: Dallas Mavericks (25-24) vs. Phoenix Suns (25-24)
- BetMGM Sportsbook Odds: Suns -1.5, O/U 222.5
We head to the Footprint Center for the nightcap, where Phoenix will try to win their fifth straight amid their current homestand against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavericks have had Phoenixβs number recently. Dallas was able to upset the top-seeded Suns in last yearβs Western Conference semifinal as they embarrassed them on their home court, winning by a margin of 33 points in game seven.
These teams have met twice this season – the home team winning in each matchup as Phoenix won game one by two points, and Dallas won at American Airlines Center, 130-111.Β
This is a pivotal game for seeding purposes. Each team has the same record – the Mavs currently stand at the six-seed, while Phoenix is right on their heels at seven. While Phoenix is red-hot coming into this matchup, Dallas is going in the opposite direction. Dallas has lost five of their last six.
Additionally, Dallas has been the NBAβs least profitable team ATS, only covering 34% of the time (16-31-2). Can Dallas snap their recent losing skid against Phoenix? Or can they at least get a rare cover?
