Heading into the 2022 NFL season, many prognosticators envisioned the Rams and Packers as two potential Super Bowl contenders. Instead, both have fallen flat on their faces as two of the league’s biggest disappointments.

But something will have to give as we conclude Week 15 at the legendary Lambeau Field, where the Frozen Tundra will be in full force for a game where the temperature will hover in the teens. Although the game may be meaningless for postseason implications, you can raise the stakes by joining Caesars Sportsbook before kickoff to take advantage of a $1,250 First Bet on Caesars.

All you need to do is register using the promo code HANDLENEWSFULL to claim your offer. Upon registration, you will also receive 1,000 Reward Credits and 1,000 Tier Credits toward your Caesars Rewards program.

You cannot have an existing sportsbook account with Caesars to activate this offer. Additionally, you must be at least 21 years of age and located in an active Caesars state to claim. If you check all these boxes, keep reading below to guarantee you receive your offer!

Rams at Packers game details

  • Date: Monday, December 19, 2022
  • Start Time: 8:15 pm ET
  • Channel: ESPN
  • Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • Participants: Los Angeles Rams (4-9) vs. Green Bay Packers (5-8)
  • Caesars Sportsbook Odds: Packers -7.5, O/U 39.5

Los Angeles Rams +7.5 at Caesars Sportsbook

The Rams will try to make it two consecutive wins on primetime tonight behind new quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield made his first appearance last Thursday night against the Las Vegas Raiders, leading a 98-yard game-winning drive less than 48 hours after being claimed on waivers. But make no mistake; Green Bay is a long way from Los Angeles.

For a team that plays in a dome, the Rams will undoubtedly have their work cut out for them in the cold. The Rams will again be without Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and Aaron Donald.

The Rams have been stingy against the run, even without Donald. They will certainly have a tall task against the dynamic backfield duo of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. It has been the pass defense that has really struggled at times for LA – they are 23rd in the NFL by FootballOutsiders DVOA pass defense metric.

If the Rams want to win this one, Mayfield may need to produce more late-game theatrics.

Green Bay Packers -7.5 on Caesars

Coming off the bye week, the Packers are much healthier than they’ve been before. Rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs is expected to return after a four-game hiatus. Doubs will team up with Allen Lazard, Christian Watson, and Randall Cobb – in surprising news, Sammy Watkins was released this morning just ahead of tonight’s game.

The Packers’ passing game should be in full strength with Aaron Rodgers recovering from multiple ailments off the bye week. Before the bye week, Rodgers stacked numerous encouraging performances against the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, and Dallas Cowboys.

And although it seems dire, believe it or not, there is a way for the Packers to sneak into the postseason. After tonight, the Packers have the Dolphins, Vikings, and Lions on deck. While they need to win out, they will need plenty of help from some NFC counterparts to sneak into the seven seed – but we’ve seen crazier things happen in December. If the Packers want to reach the postseason, it’ll have to start tonight with a win over the defending Super Bowl champions.
