The Big Game is here at last. Super Bowl LVII is set to kick off later this evening at 6:30pm ET live from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, featuring the AFC’s top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs taking on the NFC’s top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles.

For those that have yet to sign up with Caesars and plan on placing some wagers on this year’s Big Game, consider signing up for an account with our Caesars Sportsbook promo code HANDLENEWSFULL. That code is your ticket to unlocking your very own First Bet on Caesars up to $1250, which offers all first-time bettors a refund in the form of bet credits in case that first wager loses.

Despite opening up as 1.5-point underdogs for a brief moment following Kansas City’s win over Cincinnati in the AFC Championship Game, Philadelphia is holding firm as 1.5-point favorites at Caesars Sportsbook less than 12 hours away from kickoff.

In order to claim this loaded welcome bonus, you must be a new user at Caesars, over the age of 21, and located within the boundaries of a participating Caesars Sportsbook state at the time of placing your promotional wager. Read on for more details.

How to Claim Your $1250 First Bet on Caesars

Claiming your $1250 First Bet on CaesarsΒ is a total breeze. All you’ll need is a smartphone, laptop, or PC and the promo code HANDLENEWSFULL.

Get started by clicking on HANDLENEWSFULL. That link will take you directly to the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app or website. Upon entering the book, you should see your code already applied. If you don’t, be sure to enter it in the promo code field when prompted!

After you’ve completed the sign-up process, deposit some funds to use on your First Bet on Caesars. For this promotion, players are required to deposit at least $10+ to start.

Once you have some funds ready for use, access Caesars’ loaded Super Bowl LVII betting menu and place your First Bet on Caesars up to $1250 on any market. This wager can be placed on the spread, total, or even a player prop – and if you aren’t feeling great about Eagles vs Chiefs, you can even bet on a different sport or league! As long as your promotional wager settles within 30 days of being placed (no futures), it’ll qualify!

If your first cash wager with Caesars is a winner, you will receive the designated payout in cash and be on your way. Unfortunately this means your promotion is over, but who doesn’t like starting out in the win column?!

The First Bet on Caesars promotion will only come into play if your first cash bet settles as a loss. If that is the case, Caesars will replenish your account with a 100% refund distributed in the form of a single-use bet credit. The bet credit will arrive within 48 hours of settlement and must be used within 14 days of issuance before it is set to expire.

This bet credit cannot be broken up, meaning it must be used in one shot. If your bet credit is successfully wagered, just remember that the bet credit value will not be included with any winnings. Win or lose, Caesars will retain the bet credit stake.

Super Bowl LVII game info + betting preview

  • Date: Sunday, February 12, 2023
  • Start Time: 6:30pm ET
  • TV Channel: FOX
  • Location: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Arizona
  • Participants: Kansas City Chiefs (14-3) vs Philadelphia Eagles (14-3)
  • Caesars Sportsbook Odds: Eagles -1.5 (-125), O/U 51

Following a thrilling 18-week NFL regular season and chaotic three weekends of postseason play, it is officially time for the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Super Bowl LVII (57) is scheduled to begin later tonight at 6:30pm ET live on FOX from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Tonight’s game will mark the stadium’s third time hosting the event, having last done so back in 2015 for Super Bowl XLIX between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

This matchup has it all. For starters, Chiefs HC Andy Reid will attempt to secure his second Super Bowl ring against the same team that he coached for 14 seasons from 1999 to 2012. Reid led the Eagles to five NFC Championship Game appearances during his tenure in Philly, including a stretch of four straight from 2001-2004, losing all but the final one before falling to the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX.

As if the situation wasn’t already wild enough, Reid also has a history with current Eagles HC Nick Sirianni. Back when Reid was first hired by the Chiefs in 2013, Sirianni was a member of Kansas City’s staff. Reid’s first order of business was to clean house, meaning Sirianni would be out of a job. This obviously ended up working out in the end for Sirianni and he doesn’t appear to have any hard feelings towards Reid, but it is certainly something worth mentioning when breaking down all aspects of this highly-anticipated clash.

Moving on from the opposing head coaches, the biggest storyline surrounding this one has to do with a pair of brothers competing on football’s biggest stage for the first time in NFL history. Eagles C Jason Kelce, a key member of the Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl team, will get the rare opportunity to face off against his younger brother, Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, in tonight’s game. Super Bowl LVII will mark Travis’ third appearance in the Big Game and Jason’s second. Currently sitting at one ring apiece, these two will have plenty of bragging rights on the line.

Super Bowl LVII will also put a major streak to the test after Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was named the 2022 NFL MVP this past Thursday night. Entering this one, the last nine regular season MVP’s to appear in the Super Bowl during the same season have a straight up win-loss record of 0-9. Mahomes will attempt to put that streak to bed and avenge his team’s 31-9 loss in their most recent Super Bowl appearance in 2020 against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In order to do so, he’ll likely have to outplay Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who was the NFL MVP favorite for most of the season before suffering a shoulder injury against the Chicago Bears during Week 15 and missing two games.

While Mahomes (+130) is the league MVP, Hurts (+125) is the current betting favorite two win Super Bowl MVP on Caesars Sportsbook.

Looking into the game odds, Philadelphia curiously opened up as 1.5-point underdogs immediately after the matchup was confirmed. The opening line was incredibly surprising to say the least, especially considering how badly the Eagles dominated the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers in both of the team’s two playoff victories. Action quickly came flying in on Philadelphia as a result, causing the line to flip to Eagles -1.5. Since then, it has held up pretty strong despite the majority of sports bettors hounding the Eagles spread.

According to Caesars Sportsbook, the brand accepted 24 spread or moneyline wagers of at least $10,000 within the first hour of posting the odds for Super Bowl LVII – 21 of which were placed on the Eagles. Shortly after, Caesars also reported that 79.3% of the tickets and 84.6% of the handle for all Super Bowl LVII spread bets were placed on Philadelphia. Over at the Action Network, the split across all books is currently listed at 60% in favor of the Eagles, with the remaining 40% backing Kansas City.
