Caesars Sportsbook Promo Code & Review

Caesars Palace? Meet Caesars Sportsbook – the online sportsbook fit for an Emperor. Following a savvy rebranding effort, the Caesars Sportsbook app is primed to compete for a healthy market share throughout the United States sports betting market.

In August 2021, Caesars completed the highly anticipated rebranding of its William Hill online sports betting operations after acquiring the popular British bookmaker in 2020 for a modest $3.7 billion sum. All William Hill sportsbooks are now Caesars Sportsbooks. This will greatly increase the exposure of Caesars Sportsbook, vaulting the company near the top of the pack.

Below we’ll break down why Caesars is a great option for most bettors, review its sports betting product, talk promotions and promo codes, and much more.

Caesars Sportsbook bonus and promotions

Your first bet is on Caesars, up to $1250. That’s right, if you register through SportsHandle using promo code HANDLEFULL, when you make your first bet, if it loses, it’s on the house. Caesars Sportsbook rebranding

If you conducted a poll and asked people whether they have heard of the Caesars casino brand, chances are the majority would answer “yes”. Caesars is an iconic casino brand known the world over. Those of us old enough to remember the Oscar-winning movie Rain Man could tell you that the Las Vegas scenes took place at Caesars. Younger movie fans could tell you the non-Oscar-winning movie The Hangover also heavily featured Caesars. Arguably, it’s the most familiar casino brand in the country.

If you did another online poll and asked the public if they have heard of the William Hill brand, chances are the results would show significantly less than the first.

More than a few eyebrows were raised in early May 2021 when Caesars CEO Tom Reeg announced during an earnings call that the Caesars brand would replace the William Hill brand nationwide by early fall 2021. Both brands are owned by Caesars, a publicly traded company, so the transition would likely be orderly and quick, but the question most asked by industry observers was: Why?

Well, the answer is written just above. It doesn’t take a gambling industry expert to tell you that the Caesars brand is familiar to far more Americans than the William Hill brand. Caesars, not William Hill, already has a relationship in place with ESPN. All the betting lines in the uber-popular ESPN app are provided by Caesars and the ESPN app and website will feature links to the Caesars Sportsbook in states where it is live, with further integration expected. Additionally, Caesars has a sponsorship agreement with the NFL, and even paid for naming rights to the Superdome, where the New Orleans Saints play.

Caesars wasn’t planning to sit around and let its substantial investments stagnate. It was all part of a plan to introduce the new-look Caesars Sportsbook to the country. Now that the rebranding is complete, Caesars is ready for its big debut.

Caesars Rewards loyalty program

Many sportsbooks don’t have a loyalty program at all, but Caesars has an excellent program that is the envy of the industry. Adding sports betting to its rewards program gives added incentive for sports fans who also enjoy going to Caesars casinos. If you are already gambling at Caesars and betting on sports, it makes sense to combine the two to maximize the rewards opportunities.

And what opportunities! From discounted hotel stays to a $600 airfare credit when flying to Las Vegas and everything in between, Caesars has benefits for bettors of every budget. In fact, they have two types of credits: Tier Credits and Reward Credits. Sports bettors earn one Reward Credit and one Tier Credit for every $10 spent at the sportsbook, which includes online betting.

Reward Credits are similar to reward points earned by using certain types of credit cards. The credits can be redeemed for show tickets, dinner at the casino, and more. Tier Credits are similar to airline status based on frequent flyer mile accumulation. The more Tier Credits you accumulate by spending, the more perks you get, such as VIP lounge access, hotel upgrades, and complimentary valet parking.

Tier Credits = perks

You don’t need us to tell you, every dollar counts when you bet on sports. These extra benefits make Caesars Sports an excellent value.

States where Caesars Sportsbook is live

In early August 2021, Caesars Sportsbook replaced the William Hill brand online in several states. In those states, listed below, what was the William Hill sportsbook is now the Caesars Sportsbook. All the accounts are the same and existing William Hill customers did not have to change anything or sign up for a new account. Prior to August, Caesars Sportsbook was only available online in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Nevada. Caesars quickly replaced William Hill with its Caesars Sportsbook brand in every state where it has a presence.

States where Caesars Sportsbook could go live

Florida

If Florida mobile and/or retail sports betting ends up being expanded outside of the Seminole tribe’s extensive reach, Caesars will be in on the action through its Isle Casino Pompano property in Pompano Beach.

Browser review

Caesars Sportsbook has dozens of odds boosts, features all the top sports, and integrates the casino into the browser, putting the casino button right next to the sports buttons in states that allow online casino gaming. All the sports are easy to find, listed both on the top of the screen and on the left side, and the top promotions are featured in a banner ad across the top of the screen. There is plenty of open screen space to make it feel uncluttered, though the white-on-white background can be mildly distracting. Overall Caesars Sportsbook looks like a sportsbook that wants new customers to use it and its layout and functionality fits Caesars’ position as an industry leader.

Odds boosts

During testing, the odds boosts stood out the most. Over three dozen odds boosts were featured on a random Tuesday afternoon in August. This is impressive, especially compared to the five or so listed at the same time on DraftKings. Some of them were gimmicky, like a +4500 payout if the Yankees defeated the Orioles by 5-2 on August 3 (the Yankees won, 13-1). Still, it stands to reason that some Yankees fans might have logged in to put a few bucks on that bet.

Odds boosts are more marketing than anything else, though they can offer some good value if you know what to look for. A good example of an odds boost offering real value is the Caesars boost listing the Cowboys at +3500 to win the Super Bowl. On DraftKings, the same future bet is listed at +3000. That’s $500 extra on a $100 max bet if it pays out, which makes it a great value if you were planning to take the Cowboys already.

Live/in-game betting

Aside from odds boosts and other promotions, what separates sportsbooks more than anything else is the in-game/live betting product. All sportsbooks offer live betting, but the user experience varies greatly. Caesars Sportsbook offers an excellent live betting experience, with the action being displayed in real-time using official data. All the information needed to place a live bet is available in one spot. This is important because things can change quickly, so latency is a big factor when making live bets.

During testing, the scores listed on Caesars Sportsbook during a live table tennis match were consistently 4-5 seconds slower than the same scores on DraftKings. This means that the data for some events may come across the Caesars feed more slowly, which affects live betting. Caesars Sportsbook may not have a slower data feed on all events, but this is a good example of the need to shop around for the best prices, particularly when looking for live-betting value.

Caesars Sportsbook App review

As mentioned, Caesars Sportsbook is available in over a dozen states and Washington, DC. Caesars Sportsbook allows people from anywhere to sign up for an account, but you have to be in one of the approved stated to place a wager. They confirm this by asking you to allow them to use the geolocation feature in your smartphone.

Once you’re in, you are in for a treat. This is a great sportsbook app! It looks similar to the browser version in many ways, but there are some subtle differences that make the smartphone experience as good or better than the laptop experience. Sports are listed in a row across the top of the screen, right above the promotions, which rotate in a loop. Featured sports are available on the home page, just a quick scroll down the screen. All games have real-time live betting odds displayed if the game is going on; otherwise, the latest pregame odds are listed. This is an excellent feature because you don’t have to go to the live betting section to find the live odds.

Quick Play

In a nod to the shrinking attention spans of people everywhere, Caesars Sportsbook came up with the genius idea of putting casino games within easy reach of the sportsbook. If you’re in a state that allows mobile casino gaming and you like to play online slots or video poker from time to time, you will be very happy with Caesars Sportsbook. One tap of the finger on the Quick Play tab at the bottom of the screen and you will be greeted with several casino games to choose from. Click on one of the games and you are immediately taken to the login page of the online casino, which is different from the sportsbook for regulatory reasons related to keeping deposits separate. If that wasn’t easy enough, the casino tab is also featured on the bottom of the screen, fully integrated with the sportsbook offerings. This may not be a big deal for everyone, but it is another small way Caesars Sportsbook provides features designed to make its app user experience appealing and fun for users.

Pricing

During testing, pricing for the day’s baseball games was competitive. Most games featured lines ranging from +130 to -150 for over/under and run line bets. The prices didn’t differ much from other major sportsbooks; a few offered a better value for the bettor, while a few were a little more tilted toward the house. Live betting prices were similar; they varied a little depending on the game but were not a great deal different than other major sportsbooks.

Futures bets for the upcoming NFL season offered some value depending on the team. The Kansas City Chiefs were listed at +500 to win the Super Bowl on Caesars compared to +450 on BetMGM, while the Packers were listed at +1400 on Caesars and +1200 on BetMGM. The defending champion Buccaneers, meanwhile, were listed at +650 on Caesars versus +700 on BetMGM, so the favorable lines did not extend to every team.

During testing, the week’s PGA Tour golf futures offered solid value on the favorites but faded quickly for longshots, with DraftKings giving a much higher payout for those wanting to back less heralded players. This may not matter if you tend to pick favorites, but golf in particular has many longshot winners, so if you are looking for value you should shop around for your golf futures picks.

Overall, the app provides a robust betting experience with something for everyone. With its new app, Caesars has put itself in the top tier of sportsbook apps, which is a very big deal because over 80% of mobile sports bets in states with legal mobile betting are made on smartphones. In some states that number is over 90 percent. The better the app, the more value it adds for the bettor and the more potential for revenue growth it provides the sportsbook.

Sports

Caesars Sportsbook has vastly improved its product in every way, from its promotions to the user experience to the sports offered for wagering. What was once a woeful list of sports available to bet on is now one of the most robust offerings on the market today. Let’s go over all the sports you can bet on.

  • Baseball
  • Football (NFL and NCAA)
  • Soccer
  • Blackjack (seriously, it is right there on the list of available sports to wager on. Talk about casino integration!)
  • Basketball (NBA, European leagues, and NCAA)
  • Olympic sports
  • Golf
  • MMA
  • Auto racing
  • Tennis
  • Hockey
  • Boxing
  • Table tennis
  • Australian Rules Football
  • Lacrosse
  • Rugby
  • Snooker
  • Cricket

Markets

A market is an individual bet offered by the sportsbook. A spread bet is a type of market. If the Los Angeles Lakers were playing the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA, for example, Lakers -5.5 and Grizzlies +5.5 would be counted as two “markets.” A player prop, such as LeBron James scoring over 30.5 points, would be a third market. Some sportsbooks offer over 100 markets for every game. The new and improved Caesars Sportsbook has about that many, with dozens of options offered for every sporting event, no matter how low-profile.

While the basics are offered, such as moneyline, spread, and over/under along with some futures and in-game team and player prop bets, there are many more choices, such as alternate lines, first 5 innings for baseball, matchup bets in golf, and all sorts of player prop bets for NFL and NBA games. Whatever bet you’re looking for, chances are you will be able to find it on the new Caesars Sportsbook.

Banking

Caesars’ banking options are more extensive than its rivals. This is likely due to its success in the retail and online casino space. Caesars offers the following deposit and withdrawal options:

  • ACH eCheck
  • Visa/MasterCard/Discover (Deposit only)
  • PayPal
  • Play+ Branded Prepaid Card
  • Online Banking
  • PayNearMe (Deposit only)
  • Skrill
  • Cash at Casino Cage

Customer service

Is the success of a sportsbook based solely on its customer service? No, but it’s vitally important. Customer service can be the difference between a pleasant experience and a mind-numbing one. Most people don’t have any questions about their sportsbook user experience, but if they do and those questions are not answered satisfactorily, that sportsbook better watch out, because a negative app review is on the way.

Luckily for Caesars, its customer service is above average. There are several ways to have your questions answered, including an extensive FAQ section easily accessible from the browser or app; a live chat option that, during testing, featured a prompt and courteous representative; an email option for those who prefer a record of their conversation; and a toll-free number (aren’t all numbers toll free now?) for those who prefer to speak with someone on the phone. When it comes to customer service, Caesars has you covered.

Caesars Review Verdict
Bottom Line
The new and improved Caesars Sportsbook is an excellent product. Browser and app user experience is seamless, pricing is competitive, markets abound, and live betting is above average. This is a sportsbook worthy of the Caesars name.
