BetMGM welcome bonus terms and conditions
While this welcome bonus is arguably as good as it gets, there are a few terms and conditions that all users should be aware of before opting into the promotion.
For starters, all eligible players will receive their $200 in free bets within 24 hours of the initial wager’s settlement. The free bets will arrive in four separate increments worth $50 each and cannot be withdrawn until they are wagered at least once.
Always keep in mind that free bet credits only pay out the winnings, never the stake on any bets won. For example, if a player wagered a $50 free bet on a team at +100 odds and won, they would only get back $50 in winnings. If the same bet was placed and won using real cash, the player would get their initial $50 stake back plus the $50 in winnings, totaling $100. Also keep in mind that free bet credits at BetMGM will expire after 7 days of issuance, so make sure to use them before they are gone!
All eligible users must be 21 years of age or older and presently located in an active BetMGM Sportsbook state at the time of wagering. Use BetMGM bonus code HANDLE during account setup.
College Football Week 3 betting preview with BetMGM
College football’s Week 3 slate is absolutely loaded with juicy matchups across the board, starting at high noon on the east coast and ending over in Honolulu for a classic late-night Hawaii home game. With so many high-profile matchups on tap, it was tough to narrow down our top three must-see games of the week but alas, here we are. Let’s get into the madness.
(6) Oklahoma @ Nebraska 12:00pm ET on FOX
One of the first games to kick off on Saturday at noon will feature an out-of-conference rematch from last season between the #6 Oklahoma Sooners and the unranked Nebraska Cornhuskers. Oklahoma took down the Huskers in Norman on September 18, 2021 by a final score of 23-16 and will now travel to Lincoln one day removed from the exact date of their previous meeting. Oklahoma was a 23-point favorite last time around and will be laying less than half of that number (-11) as they hit the road and enter Memorial Stadium in Week 3.
A lot has changed since the last time these two teams faced off, starting of course with their respective head coaches. Ex-Sooners HC Lincoln Riley bolted for USC during the offseason and took QB Caleb Williams with him, while the Huskers decided to move on from longtime head man Scott Frost less than one week ago.
Former Nebraska quarterback Mickey Joseph will assume head coaching duties in place of the departed Frost, and it’s rather fitting when you consider the history between Joseph and the Sooners. During his senior season with the Huskers, Joseph suffered a career-altering leg injury against Oklahoma that would force him to shift from playing professional football after college to becoming a full-time teacher and coach.
As far as the current Nebraska roster goes, their performance on the road against the Sooners last season was extremely encouraging and should be able to carry over as they face them in their own building with a little added motivation following the firing of their underperforming head coach. This one could end up being a lot closer than some expect after Nebraska’s head-scratching home loss to Georgia Southern.
BetMGM Odds: Oklahoma -11, O/U 65
(22) Penn State @ Auburn 3:30pm ET on CBS
Headlining the afternoon window is another high-stakes rematch from last season between the #22 Penn State Nittany Lions and the unranked Auburn Tigers. James Franklin and company managed to take down the Tigers at Beaver Stadium on September 18, 2021 with a final score of 28-20. #10 Penn State closed as a 4-point favorite over #22 Auburn at the time, and now find themselves laying virtually the same number on the road in one of college football’s most raucous environments.
Auburn and second-year HC Bryan Harsin enter Saturday’s matchup sitting at 2-0 on the young season but will face their first true test in the Nittany Lions after making quick work out of a pair of cupcakes in Mercer and San Jose State at home. Penn State, on the other hand, enters this matchup with an impressive Week 1Β road win over Purdue under its belt. The Lions went into West Lafayette as a 3.5-point favorite and scored the game-winning touchdown with under one minute to go to stun the Boilermakers and will now look to do the same at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Tigers quarterback T.J. Finley will be the key piece for Auburn on Saturday, as the junior gunslinger looks to shake off the rust following a pair of poor performances to begin his second season with the program. The good news for Finley is that despite ranking Top-50 in the nation in scoring defense and total yards allowed, Penn State has been susceptible to getting torched through the air. The Nittany Lions currently rank 77th in the nation in opposing passing yards allowed per game at 260 and that number should only go up when the defense enters one of the toughest away venues the sport has to offer.
BetMGM Odds: Penn State -3, O/U 48
(13) Miami @ (24) Texas A&M 9:00pm ET on ESPN
Rounding out our list of the best college football games of Week 3 is a Top-25 matchup between the #13 Miami Hurricanes and the #24 Texas A&M Aggies. A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher had king-sized expectations heading into his fifth season with the program after the Aggies upset #1 Alabama less than one year ago. Those expectations were slightly altered last weekend when Texas A&M fell at home to Appalachian State as an 18-point favorite, however the Aggies will have a chance at redemption as they host a high-flying ranked Hurricanes team that enters this matchup averaging 50 points per game on offense.
Hurricanes HC Mario Cristobal has the program off and running in his first two games since taking over for Manny Diaz, but will face his first true test on Saturday night in College Station. After a convincing 70-13 win over the lowly Bethune-Cookman in Week 1, Miami took care of Southern Mississippi in Week 2, 30-7. Unfortunately for the Hurricanes, points will be much harder to come by this time around.
Points should actually be at a premium for both sides in this matchup, as the two teams have yet to allow more than 17 points to an opponent in a single game thus far. Obviously the competition has been weaker, but both A&M and Miami have struggled on the offensive side of the ball as of late, save for Miami’s Week 1 win over Bethune-Cookman. Based on the low total of 44.5 and the intensity of two hungry ranked teams facing off on primetime, this one has defensive battle written all over it.
BetMGM Odds: Texas A&M -6, O/U 44.5
