You’d be hard-pressed to find two better — or hotter — teams in the NFL right now than the 11-4 Cincinnati Bengals and 12-3 Buffalo Bills. Heading into the most compelling Monday Night Football matchup of the season, host Cincinnati has won seven straight games and nine of its last 10, while Buffalo has reeled off six straight victories.
Importantly, both teams have beaten Kansas City, meaning if either finishes the season with the same record as the Chiefs atop the AFC, it will hold the tiebreaker over Andy Reid’s squad and earn a first-round playoff bye and home-field advantage throughout the postseason.
With Ohioans gaining the ability to legally wager on sports the day before kickoff, the Cincy-Buffalo tilt has the potential to yield a betting bonanza in the Buckeye State, and FanDuel Sportsbook has one of the best bonus offers — Bet $5, Get $200 in Bonus Bets — for new customers who register for an account using this link.

Major MVP market implications
While Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen began the season as the favorite to be named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player, Cincy signal-caller Joe Burrow has since overtaken him. At odds of 7/1, Burrow is FanDuel’s second choice to win the award (after Patrick Mahomes at -850), while Allen is third at 13/1.
While Allen may be a bit more error-prone than his peers, nobody in the sport has a higher ceiling. And whichever QB wins Monday night’s contest will have victories on his resume over the other top two MVP contenders, something that should not be lost on MVP voters — or bettors — at season’s end.
It’s hard to find a weakness with either of these two teams. If one were to nitpick, the Bengals’ rankings toward the bottom of the league with just 26 sacks and 98.2 yards per game rushing could be cause for concern against Allen and a stingy squadron of Buffalo tacklers.
Then again, Cincinnati has covered the spread in its last 10 games against teams with winning records, which might bode well for a moneyline bet on the Bengals (+114 at FanDuel) in a game that opened with a 1-point spread at some sportsbooks.
We’ve got some propositions for you
As both teams’ defenses are fairly effective at stopping the run, FanDuel oddsmakers expect modest efforts from leading rushers Joe Mixon (over/under 50.5 rushing yards) and Devin Singletary (44.5). Meanwhile, FanDuel has set the rushing total for Allen, who’s run for 746 yards and a team-best 7 touchdowns this season, at 47.5 yards.
Mixon (+650) and Buffalo wideout Stefon Diggs (+750) lead a balanced market for first touchdown scorer. Allen’s priced at 11/1 to find the end zone first, while Cincy receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are at 8/1 and 11/1, respectively. Mixon (-115) is the minus-money favorite in the anytime TD market, trailed by Diggs (+100), Chase (+105), Allen (+145), Higgins (+175), and Singletary (+175).
Chase averages 87.3 receiving yards per game, while Diggs averages 88.3, so there may be value to be found betting the over on their projected game totals of 82.5 and 73.5, respectively.
