Ohio State (-27.5) at Maryland (63.5) on ABC
Ohio State and its fans have their eyes set on a Week 13 matchup with the Michigan Wolverines for a spot in the Big Ten Championship and potentially the College Football Playoff.
But the Buckeyes first have to go on the road and fight off a pesky Maryland squad trying to snap a 2-game losing skid. The Terps have already locked up a bowl berth for the second consecutive year under head coach Mike Locksley and will now try to pull off a surprise upset at College Park this Saturday.
Maryland (6-4, 3-4)
Maryland will look to pick up their first-ever win against Ohio State since they joined the Big Ten back in 2014. Ohio State boasts a perfect 7-0 record against the Terps, winning by an average margin of 33 points per game.
As a near four-touchdown underdog, expect Maryland to play with some house money here.
Locksley on playing Ohio State: "As I told our team, there's nothing more dangerous than a desperate man that has nothing to lose. That's kind of where we are. They've got everything to lose. They've got a big game after ours."

With βthe Gameβ on OSUβs horizon, this could be a tough spot for the Buckeyes to get up for. The last time OSU visited College Park, Maryland nearly pulled off the stunner, losing 52-51 on the final play with a failed 2-point conversion.
The Terps’ offense has been prolific under Taulia Tagovalioaβs play for the past few seasons, but he has been hampered with injuries the past few weeks as the offense has cooled off dramatically. He ranks fourth in the Big Ten in passing yards per game (239 yds.), but sacks have been an issue. Maryland has allowed 29 in ten games thus far.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Terps have had their issues stopping the run, surrendering 6.0 and 5.8 yards per carry in their last two losses to Wisconsin and Penn State, respectively.Β
Maryland nearly pulled off a major upset in late September when they took Michigan down to the wire in the Big House. If Maryland wants to pull off this monumental upset, Tagovailoa will need to bounce back and play one of the best games of his career.
Ohio State (10-0, 7-0)
The Buckeyes cruised to their 10th victory last week against the Indiana Hoosiers, 56-14. But they left the game with some injury concerns. Notably, running back Miyan Williams, the teamβs feature in TreVeyon Hendersonβs absence, left the game in the first half with an ankle injury.
Despite a myriad of injuries in the running back room and the passing game operating without Jaxon Smith-Njigba for most of the year, Ohio State is only behind Tennessee in scoring offense, averaging 46.8 points per game.
However, despite their offensive prowess, itβs the defense that has been the story in Columbus this season. Under new defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, the Buckeyes have allowed just 161 passing yards per game, which is sixth in all of college football. In addition, Ohio State allows 110 yards on the ground, good for 18th in the nation.
Maryland will have their work cut out for them, as theyβve only managed to bolster 10 points combined in their last two games.
