Week one of the NFL season is in the books, and it was a doozy. We saw Russell Wilson return home to Seattle only to fall short of his comeback opportunity at Lumen Field, the Bears pull off the weekβs biggest upset, and in good-ole NFL fashion, we got to see a tie (almost two)!
For week two FanDuel Sportsbook is allowing bettors to take advantage of their $1K No Sweat First Bet welcome offer for new users!

Hereβs what new users need to do when it comes to FanDuelβs lucrative $1K No Sweat First Bet offer:
- Sign up for an account on FanDuel Sportsbook using this link (or one of the others in this article!)
- Deposit at least $10 to your account and up to $1,000 (you can deposit more, but the No Sweat Bet only works for up to $1K)
- Thatβs it! – no FanDuel promo code is required to claim the offer
You will be eligible for this juicy promotion if you are at least 21 years old and within a legal sports betting stateβs borders (check the table above to see where FanDuel is available).
Breaking down the “No Sweat Bet”
So, how does the promotion work? Letβs say you deposit the full $1,000. If you then make a bet with a market at +100 odds and win, thatβs great. You will have a bankroll that is $2,000. But if your bet falls short, your original cash may be gone but you will be refunded $1,000 in free bet credits.
Free bets can be used for other wagers and a chance to win real money. Letβs say you use $20 in free bet credits on a +150 market. You don’t need to pony up any actual money to make this wager – it’s all done through credit. If you win, you would win $30. That’s a return of real money from betting with a free bet token. Please note that when you use a free bet, you will not receive your initial stake back like when you wager with your real money. What does this mean? If you replicated the scenario above and bet $20 in cash, you would receive a total payday of $50 ($20 stake + $30 winnings).
FanDuel free bets will land in your account within 72 hours of your initial wager settlement if it fall shorts. Again, no FanDuel sportsbook promo code is necessary to claim the offer.
Week 2 NFL Sunday Slate with FanDuel
Buccaneers @ Saints (+2.5) (O/U 44.5) at 1:00 pm ET on FOX
Week 2 starts on a high note in a crucial NFC South divisional matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints.
Although the Bucs have won the last two NFC South titles since Tom Brady joined them in 2020, the Saints have had their number. Brady is 0-4 in the regular season against the Saints with a point differential of -64.
The Saints have one of the more suffocating defenses in the NFL, led by Cameron Jordan and DeMario Davis. Newcomers Tyrann Mathieu and Marcus Maye proved valuable in their week one victory against Atlanta and will continue to build on that against Tampa.
On the offensive side of the football, Michael Thomas appeared in his first game since December 2020. He scored twice against one of the leagueβs best corners in AJ Terrell. Star running back Alvin Kamara is nursing a rib injury he suffered in week one. He is questionable heading into this game.
On the other side, the Buccaneers were absolutely dominant in their opener against the Dallas Cowboys with a lopsided 19-3 win. The Bucs’ defense was clicking on all cylinders at each level of the defense. Tampa finished with four sacks, including two from superstar linebacker Devin White.Β
On the offensive side of the football, the Buccaneers were efficient between the 20s, but they settled for four field goals, including two inside the redzone. Leonard Fournette was the star of the offense, finishing with 127 rushing yards on six yards per carry.Β
This one is one of the weekβs best games and could prove pivotal toward an NFC South title at the end of the season.
Dolphins @ Ravens (-3.5) (O/U 44.5) at 1:00 pm ET on CBS
The Miami Dolphins travel to M&T Bank Stadium to take on the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens will try to seek revenge after their embarrassing Thursday Night Football loss last season at Hard Rock Stadium, where the Fins topped the Ravens 22-10. It was one of Lamar Jacksonβs worst starts as a professional.
That was not the case last week, as Jackson was sharp in his 2022 debut. Jackson threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns in a convincing 24-9 win over the Jets.
He wasn’t as active with his legs, finishing with 17 rushing yards. Going into this week, Jackson’s rushing prop is set at a juicy 54.5 rushing yards.
The Ravens’ defense stifled the Jets’ offense, but it won’t be nearly this easy against the speed of the Dolphins, who boast the leagueβs fastest receiving corps. Tyreek Hill finished with 100 total yards in his Dolphins debut as they topped the New England Patriots 20-7. Jaylen Waddle had a nice 42-yard catch and run to help Miami start on a high note.
But make no mistake about it: the story of this one will be the quarterbacks. Each quarterback has been the center of controversy for different reasons. Lamar Jackson has undergone contract negotiations for the better part of a year, and the Ravens and Jackson could not agree on an extension before the season’s start. Can he get back to his 2019 MVP form?
Since his arrival, Tua Tagovailoa has been one of the more highly scrutinized quarterbacks because of his high draft slot. Going into year three, Tua has more ammunition on his supporting cast than he ever has. Can this be the year he breaks through to the postseason?Β
Even though itβs only week two, this one may have serious playoff implications down the line.
Bears @ Packers (-10) (O/U 41.5) at 1:00 pm ET on NBC Sunday Night Football
To cap off the Sunday slate, we head to legendary Lambeau Field, where the Green Bay Packers will take on a divisional foe, Chicago Bears.
There wasnβt much optimism surrounding the Bears heading into this season, but they pulled off the biggest upset in week one, beating the San Francisco 49ers 19-10 in a monsoon. They will try to do the improbable once again against the Packers on Sunday Night Football.
The Packers were blown out in week one for the second straight year. Aaron Rodgers struggled as he is still trying to build a rapport with his new receiving corps without Davante Adams.
If you feel confident Rodgers is going to bounce back, you can bet the over on his yards (248.5) for primetime Sunday with FanDuel Sportsbook.
If the Bears were to win on Sunday Night Football, they have the chance to build a two-game lead on the Packers with the tiebreaker early in the season. The last time the Bears topped the Packers was in December of 2018.
