UFC278 Preview – Main Card fights with FanDuel Sportsbook
Below we’ve previewed some of the Main Card for UFC 278, with betting odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook (subject to change!). Again, your $1K “No Sweat First Bet” can be used on any bet, for any fight – it doesn’t have to be the Main Event.
Kamaru Usman (C) vs. Leon Edwards (#2)
Odds: Welterweight title bout: Usman -370, Edwards +265
The Nigerian Nightmare, Kamaru Usman, will pursue his sixth straight title defense and record-tying 16th straight UFC victory for Saturday nightβs main event. But make no mistake, Leon βRockyβ Edwards is no slouch. Edwards and Usman met back in December of 2015 when Usman got the best of him, but Edwards has climbed the ranks since then, including big-time wins over Vicente Luque, Donald Cerrone, Rafael Dos Anjos, and Nate Diaz.
Will Usman tie Anderson Silva’s record for consecutive wins? We’ll find out on Saturday night.
Paulo Costa (#6) vs. Luke Rockhold
Odds: Middleweight bout: Costa -340, Rockhold +250
The Eraser, Paulo Costa, will prepare to take on former champion Luke Rockhold. After winning the first 13 fights of his career, Costa is on a 2-fight slide where he fell to Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori.
When Costa is right, heβs powerful, cocky, and one of the worldβs best. But heβs proven to be pretty volatile, to say the least, which adds plenty of intrigue for this one.
Rockhold will be making his first appearance in MMA in over three years. Rockhold fell short in UFC 199 to Michael Bisping in his one and only attempt at a Middleweight title defense. In the time since he’s been getting healthy, working on his craft, and seems ready to contend in the division once again.
JosΓ© Aldo (#3) vs. Merab Dvalishvili (#6)
Odds: Bantamweight bout: Aldo +114, Dvalishvili -146
Widely regarded as the best featherweight of all time, JosΓ© Aldo will take on Merab Dvalishvili.
Aldo has dropped his first two decisions in the new weight class but has since won three straight in the bantamweight class. Dvalishvili is amidst a seven-fight winning streak where βThe Machineβ has been tossing around his opponents left and right.
Styles make fights, and this one should be a doozy as Aldo, one of the best technicians of all time, takes on the powerful Georgian, Dvalishvili.
FanDuel UFC 278 Odds Boosts
