Amazon hasn’t been too kind to us in terms of giving us high-level matchups for Thursday Night Football.

Tonight may be more of the same as the lowly Rams will host the recently-surging Raiders. After their 2022 Super Bowl run, the Rams have been plagued with the injury bug and have regressed to one of the league’s worst teams. With a record of 3-9, they are just 3-7-2 ATS, which is only better than Tampa Bay in terms of win percentage.

On the other hand, the Raiders hit rock bottom when they lost to Jeff Saturday and the Colts nearly a month ago to fall to 2-7. They have since rattled off three in a row, including two wins in overtime.

Although this game may not be the most enticing, sometimes the ugly ones present the best betting opportunities. If you don’t have an account, you can join FanDuel Sportsbook to claim a $1,000 No Sweat First Bet welcome offer.

No promo code is required for this offer – read below so you can claim your welcome bonus before kickoff!

Las Vegas Raiders -6.5 with FanDuel

After winning three straight since their shocking upset against Jeff Saturday’s Colts, the Raiders have quietly climbed back into the AFC Wild Card playoff picture.

The New York Jets are currently slated as the 7-seed with a record of 7-5 but will take on the 1-seeded Buffalo Bills this weekend. By Sunday afternoon, it is very conceivable that the Raiders will be within one game of the AFC’s last playoff spot with Wild Card hopeful New England on deck.

It’s no secret the Raiders’ offense has led this turnaround. Over the last five weeks, Las Vegas ranks 6th in offensive DVOA across the NFL. Running back Josh Jacobs leads all rushers by nearly 200 yards, and it looks like he is on his way to his first rushing title. Jacobs has been limited in practice this week as he nurses a calf and quad injury. We’ll see if Las Vegas will continue to ride their workhorse or if head coach Josh McDaniels will elect to lean more on the passing attack to secure this victory.

Rams +6.5 at FanDuel Sportsbook

The Rams will once again be without Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald, and Allen Robinson. Although the Rams have one of the worst win percentages covering the spread this season, they’ve managed to scrape by the last two weeks with a cover. Could they do the same at home on a short week?

In surprising news, the Rams may turn to new quarterback acquisition Baker Mayfield in his Rams debut. Mayfield was claimed by the Rams less than 48 hours ago on waivers after the Panthers released the former number 1 overall pick. Quarterback John Wolford is nursing a neck injury and is a game-time decision. We may see some Baker for tonight’s showdown if Wolford can’t go.

On the other side, the Rams’ defense has taken a sizable step back from their Super Bowl run. But their run defense has been surprisingly stout. They will have their work cut out tonight against the NFL’s leading rusher, Josh Jacobs. In addition, Jalen Ramsey versus Davante Adams could make for one of the season’s best CB vs. WR matchups.
