Bettors in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia will get a chance to test out the SuperContest this year with a new free-to-play version online.
Those entering for the first nine weeks of the NFL season may do so by 11:59 p.m. PT Saturday, with picks due by 10 a.m. Sunday, the first full slate of action. A second contest starts in Week 10, with entries due Nov. 11.
Historically, the contest has been available to those registering in person in Nevada, with players across the country able to use proxies to place the weekly bets. SuperBook Sports in the last two years has expanded into multiple markets beyond Nevada, and while it’s not offering the in-person, paid-entry version of the contest, the free-to-play model will familiarize players with the game.
Bettors can sign up at SuperContest.com. In both of the online contests, players must select five teams against the spread each week. There is $10,000 in cash and prizes.
SuperBook Sports, which runs the SuperContests, projects 850 participants.
“You will now have more opportunities to WIN BIG as SuperBook Sports extends its SuperContest footprint to new states with many more ways to WIN as we feature more sports, additional contests, and matchups,” reads the description of the contest on its website.
3 SuperContests Available In Nevada
In Las Vegas, SuperBook will again run its SuperContest, SuperContest Gold, and SuperContest ReBoot events. Entries for the full season SuperContest and SuperContest Gold, which require a $1,000 and $5,000 entry free, respectively, close at 3 p.m. PT Saturday. The deadline for the ReBoot is Nov. 11 and the entry fee is $500.
In the original SuperContest, bettors have a chance to win 12 different ways, and in all of the contests there are mini events throughout the season. The SuperContest awards prizes to the top 20 players while the SuperContest Gold is a winner-take-all event. The ReBoot, which will be for Weeks 10-18, also has mini contests along the way.
In 2022, the overall SuperContest winner walked away with $197,200, the SuperContest Gold winner took home $400,000, and the ReBoot winner won $31,200.
