MaximBet (formerly SportsBetting.com) is owned and operated by the Carousel Group, a fast moving iGaming company with headquarters in Malta. Founded in 2017, the Carousel Group has already established itself as one of the preeminent powers in iGaming across the globe, with its focus now set on the U.S. market. Their primary brands include CG Solutions, Racebook.com, and of course – MaximBet which will serve as their flagship.
The company launched its first U.S. sportsbook in Colorado on September 16, 2021, partnering with Johnny Nolon’s Casino in Cripple Creek. Additional growth in the country is underway. This page will offer a general review of the site. We’ll breakdown where you can use MaximBet, how to sign up, promotions, pricing, banking, and more.

This deposit match is very simple and easy to take advantage of. All new, first-time users can deposit up to $1000 and receive an equal amount in matched free bet credits. The $1K deposit match is broken up a little differently than other similar promotions with competing sportsbooks. This MaximBet offer actually divides the promotion up over four separate deposits.
Your initial, first deposit is matched 100% up to a total of $500. This makes up half of the monetary value of the promotion, but it’s not the end. Your second deposit, which needs to be made within 8-14 days after your first deposit, is matched 100% up to $250. Your third deposit? 100% up to $125, and must be made between 15-21 days after the first deposit. Lastly, between 22-28 days after your deposit you can grab one final 100% up to $125 deposit match.
- 100% up to $500 deposit match bonus on your first deposit.
- 100% up to $250 deposit match bonus on your second deposit. Must be made 8-14 days after first deposit.
- 100% up to $125 deposit match bonus on your third deposit. Must be made 15-21 days after first deposit.
- 100% up to $125 deposit match bonus on your fourth deposit. Must be made 22-28 days after first deposit.
Each deposit match will be awarded to your account within 72 hours, in the form of free bet credits.
https://sportshandle.com/new-jersey/Once you have received your free bet credit, it is subject to a play-through. The bonus comes with a 1x wagering requirement on the initial deposit and bonus amount, which is still fairly good. Essentially, when they give you free bet credits, you’ll need to use them in order to turn them into real cash. Unused free bet credit will expire after 7 days.
Where is MaximBet available in the United States?
MaximBet is currently available for bettors in Colorado, bringing a unique welcome offer, smooth software, mobile apps, and plenty of betting options.
State | Bonus | Casino Partner | Launch Date |
---|---|---|---|
Colorado | Get Bonus | Johnny Nolon's Casino | September 16, 2021 |
Indiana | Coming Soon | Harrahβs Hoosier Park | September 30, 2022 |
Iowa | Coming Soon | Isle Casino Bettendorf | August (est.) |
Expansion to additional states is currently underway. The MaximBet website says that the sportsbook will launch in Indiana, New Jersey, Iowa, Ohio, Louisiana and Ontario “soon.” Users will need to create a new MaximBet account in each subsequent state. Below, we will review the status of the states where MaximBet is legal and candidates for expansion and what each particular market could offer:
Colorado
The first state off the board for MaximBet Sportsbook is the Centennial state.
MaximBet Sportsbook launched in Colorado in September of 2021, before the highly-anticipated 2021 NFL season. Since its launch, Colorado residents and tourists have had the chance to bet on the Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets, and Rockies on MaximBet!
Indiana (coming soon)
MaximBet has the Hoosier state on its horizon.
MaximBet is not alone in this venture, as many sportsbooks are trying to expand into Indiana. However, MaximBet has a leg up. The Carousel Group has agreed to a partnership with Caesars Entertainment. MaximBet will be partnering with Harrahβs Hoosier Park for market access in the state of Indiana.
It has been a long wait for MaximBet to tap into Indiana, but we should expect an announcement any day on the near launch of their sportsbook in Indiana.
New Jersey (coming soon)
MaximBet Sportsbook is coming to the Garden State. After Carousel Group and Maximβs merger, they announced intentions to launch in the state of New Jersey in early 2021.
The details are still being finalized, but since New Jerseyβs launch, the state has proven to be one of the best markets in all of the United States.
Iowa (coming soon)
MaximBet is expanding to another Midwest state alongside Indiana: the Hawkeye state.
Iowa will join Indiana as one of the following states to go live for MaximBet Sportsbook. Although Iowa is not home to any professional sports teams in the primary four, the state of Iowa is home to one of the most robust college markets in the country. Itsβ residents have an excellent selection between Iowa and Iowa State as well as Northern Iowa and Drake University.
Because of the Carousel Group’s agreement with Caesars Entertainment, MaximBet will be partnering with Isle Casino Bettendorf.
Ohio (coming soon)
This year has been an exciting year for Ohioans in sports. The Bengals were on the cusp of their first Super Bowl title, Ohio State was coming off a thrilling Rose Bowl victory and should be a national title contender heading into this fall, and even the Cavaliers were a pleasant surprise.
Another thing to look forward to? Sports betting will officially launch in Ohio on January 1, 2023. MaximBet is joining the party as Ohio expects to be one of the more robust markets in the country.
Ohio will have market access to launching their online sportsbook in the Buckeye state – time will tell when but sportsbooks will be booming in the January launch. Ohio State football will be underway during bowl season and hopefully vying for a national title, and the Browns and Bengals will hope to be in the hunt for first place in the AFC North.
Louisiana (coming soon)
Louisiana officially launched sports betting in January of 2022.
The Louisiana market presents its quirks to their market, but it should prove a vital commodity for MaximBet.Β
Not too many fanbases are as passionate and crazed for football as Louisianans. Between the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints, it would be optimal for MaximBet to try to launch their sportsbook before the fall kicks off.Β
Ontario (coming soon)
MaximBet is thinking past America as they will be taking their sportsbook to Americaβs neighbor, Canada.Β
Ontario is the most populated province in the entire country of Canada boasting over 14 million people and should serve as a solid home base for MaximBet to try to break through in the Canadian market.
Other States to Keep an Eye on for Expansion
Brand Ambassadors
Nicki Minaj
The lifestyle-focused global sportsbook struck an agreement with rap star Nicki Minaj.
Minaj will serve as a strategic advisor and global ambassador for the up-and-coming sportsbook. In addition to this announcement, Minaj was named a creative director of Maxim.
Minaj is a superstar in the rap industry who is described as a disruptor of the male-dominated field. The same could serve true for this move – with the addition of Minaj to MaximBetβs team, the aggressive sportsbook will look to broaden its outreach to more women in their customer base.
Charlie Blackmon
Another representation of MaximBetβs aggression is the signing of Charlie Blackmon.
Blackmon is an all-star centerfielder for the Colorado Rockies. The deal is the first sportsbook ever to ink a deal with an active MLB player.Β
With this deal, Blackmon became the only athlete in the four major sports to sign on at MaximBet Sportsbook.
Although Blackmon may not have the cache of a Bryce Harper or the international appeal of a Shohei Ohtani, Blackmon is one of the most renowned Rockies in franchise history. The four-time all-star is a fan favorite who is second all-time in franchise history in hits and games played.Β
The signing of Blackmon signifies loyalty and commitment to trying to build up MaximBetβs first legal betting state.
MaximBet breakdown
To get involved with sports betting on MaximBet you’ll need to meet a few general requirements. First, only persons aged 21+ are eligible to sign up and place a bet. If you’re not old enough, don’t bother trying.
Second, to place a wager bettors will need to be inside of a state that offers legal betting (see the table above for a full list). If you’re not in a legal state of operation, or you can’t prove that you are through the use of GPS or geolocation tech, you won’t be allowed to finalize a bet.
The site is polished, well built, and easy to use. You can bet on basically anything that your heart may desire. From the NFL to Gaelic sports… the book has also done an excellent job at providing competitive pricing on it all.
Ways to wager with MaximBet
MaximBet is currently accepting bets through its web-browser based sportsbook and mobile app. You can log in and wager from anywhere in one of its states of operation by simply visiting the MaximBet site.
The book uses its own, proprietary in-house tech. It has a clean look to it overall, adorned in navy, white, and an interesting red and blue hues that adds a nice pop. Along the top header you’ll find buttons for the homepage, live betting options, promotions, and support. Just below is a rotating banner that shows the sites current promotional offers.
A little further down, prime homepage real estate is divided into two columns, one which displays “Live” games that are currently underway and available for Live Betting. The second is for matches that are “Coming Up”. Both columns conveniently allow users to manipulate the display to show the sports/contests that they are the most interested in.
Overall, the display really works. It packs a lot of useful information in “above the fold”, so to speak, so that users don’t have to scroll endlessly to take it all in.
Once you’ve honed in on the right bet, just use your mouse to click it, and it will display prominently on your betting slip to the right. Type in the amount that you want, and submit the wager. If you want to evolve your bet into a parlay or round robin, just add more items to your bet slip. The entire process is smooth and intuitive.
MaximBet Mobile App
MaximBet has a clean, well featured mobile sports betting app that makes for easy, on-the-go betting. It mirror’s the desktop site in its general aesthetic, but pairs things down for functional, efficient use on a smaller screen.
The most important ongoing events are front and center, with another convenient ‘coming up’ section just below. The app places a few important quick links along the top of the screen as well to help you find big betting markets or browse promotions. Three horizontal lines can be pressed in the top left corner for more menu options, and your personal account can be accessed via the top right. Once the right bet has become clear, a tap of the finger is all you need to move it to the bet slip.
All in all, it’s got everything that you need from a fully functional online sports betting app. During testing, the app was not available outside of CO. Sign-up was available on the website accessed from an iPhone (see below), but once an account was created, we were unable to access the actual sportsbook through the app because the tester was not actually in Colorado.
Betting choices and pricing discussion
Users of MaximBet won’t want for betting options. The site spreads all major U.S. sports, and plenty that aren’t. This includes all of the following:
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Boxing
- Cricket
- Darts
- Football
- Gaelic Football
- Gaelic Hurling
- Golf
- Hockey
- Motor Sports
- Rugby League
- Rugby Union
- Snooker
- Soccer
- Table Tennis
- Tennis
- TV & Specials (in select states)
After you’ve settled on the right sport, game, or match… you it’s time to pick out exactly what you want to bet on. MaximBet will, of course, have all of the main bet types on its sheet. This includes spread betting, moneylines, and point totals (over/unders) – all of which are very well priced – in addition to plenty of more niche options.
For example, for any given football game you can bet on individual props, like the quarterback’s total passing yards, the result of each quarter or half, the first player to score, the longest completion, number of passing attempts, interceptions, and far more. Individual prop bets are available for all professional sports but aren’t available for college games in many states, including Colorado. Essentially, if you have a sports betting premonition, it’s likely that MaximBet has a way for you to put money on it.
Live Betting is also available, so you can interact with any contest in real time, as it plays out.
Pricing
MaximBet actually does quite well in the pricing & odds department, and has committed to providing users with the highest betting limits.
Their baseline prices for spread betting and totals are generally pretty good, often in the -105 range. You won’t always find pricing that good, so take advantage when you can. -110 is generally standard throughout the U.S. market, and -115+ isn’t unheard of… you’ll be saving cash with each bet you record at -105. It’s hard to top 5-cent lines.
MaximBet promotions
In addition, the site does a good job of rolling out regular promotional offers that allow you to add a little more value to your bets. We highly recommend checking out the ‘Promotions’ tab at the top of the sportsbook to see what is currently available. It’s common for the site to offer valuable insurance perks, or promos that serve as a sort of “get out jail free” card.
For example, a promo might allow bettors to wager on any NBA game/prop. If the bet loses, but a player in the game records a Triple Double, they’ll refund the wager up to $100 in bonus credits. It gives bettors something extra to cheer for, even if their initial wager goes awry.
Banking with MaximBet
MaximBet allows for bettors to deposit and withdraw using a number of different methods. Available options are both a fast and safe way to move funds to your account. While the current cashier is far from the most robust we’ve seen, it gets the job done, and will surely expand over time. Available options include:
- Skrill (deposits + withdrawals)
- Mazooma (ACH) (deposits + withdrawals)
- Visa credit and debit cards (deposits only)
Generally speaking all deposits will be near instant, while withdrawals can take up to a few days. Most importantly, when you need your money – you always have access. As MaximBet matures, we expect to see new methods, including:
- Online Bank Transfers
- PayNearMe
- PayPal
Legal online sports books in states around the country have come to rely on these options, and MaximBet will likely follow that trend.
Customer Support
MaximBet excels in the customer support department. At the top of the book there’s always an icon that will link you to a CS agent. It’s labeled “24×7 Chat”, and once clicked, it’ll pull up the following menu in the lower right corner of the screen:
Requesting a callback will allow you to leave a phone number, and they’ll give you a ring back as soon as they can. The ‘Live chat’ button will launch a live chat session with a support agent right within the same window. The ‘Leave a message’ option is akin to sending over an email. You can drop your name, email address, and type out your question/issue and they’ll reply ASAP.
In our experience queue times were very short, and the agents were knowledgeable. If you need them, there shouldn’t be any issues getting ahold of the site.
The overall MaximBet experience
Overall, when looking at MaximBet through a wide lens it’s a success. The site is easy to navigate and placing a bet is a really smooth process. The software is well done, available pricing is fantastic, and generally there’s little to complain about from this standpoint. However, there are some strikes in the negative column that are worth mentioning.
The site only offers a few ways to deposit and withdraw money. Usually online sportsbooks have far more choices. Now, the available methods do work – so it’s not necessarily a challenge to get money on or off the site, but we’d like to see more choice. The site is a newcomer to the regulated U.S. sports betting market, so again – we expect to see improvement here once they find their feet a little.
The site initially launched with no mobile app, but they patched that problem in short order. That quick response gives us confidence that MaximBet will keep adapting, listen to bettor feedback, and continue their growth within the regulated U.S. market. It’s a promising start.
