Chiefs early favorites to win 2024 Super Bowl
The NFL season ended Sunday night with a thrilling comeback by the Kansas City Chiefs over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. Leading sportsbooks haven’t wasted any time in posting Super Bowl lines for next season. At FanDuel, the Chiefs are +600 early favorites to capture the Lombardi Trophy in 2024. The Bills are the second choice at +850, followed by the Eagles, Bengals, and 49ers at +900.
Some sleepers could emerge based on moves on the quarterback market. It appears that FanDuel already has some potential transactions baked into its futures odds.
Despite missing the playoffs this year, the Jets, who have reportedly reached out to the Packers on Aaron Rodgers’ availability, have Super Bowl odds of 25/1 at FanDuel. Meanwhile, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has a no-trade clause and won’t accept a trade, according to ESPN. Carr, who prefers to be released, met with the Saints (35/1) last week.

St. Louis Battlehawks open XFL season
After a three-year hiatus, the XFL returns with four games on the weekend. Led by former Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron, the St. Louis Battlehawks (+350) are favored to win the XFL title at multiple sportsbooks. The Battlehawks, which also feature former NFL receivers Marcell Ateman and Hakeem Butler, will open the season on Sunday at San Antonio. Also on Sunday, the Orlando Guardians will take on the Houston Roughnecks in Houston. Guardians defensive back Matt Elam, a former NFL first-round pick with the Ravens, may emerge as one of the top defenders in the league.
Hamlin slight favorite over Elliott, Blaney at Daytona 500
In 2020, Denny Hamlin edged Ryan Blaney at the line for his third Daytona 500 title in five years. Hamlin has not finished in the top three since. Last year, Hamlin finished 37th after he was knocked out of the race in an eight-car crash.
At PointsBet, Hamlin is the 12/1 favorite to win Sunday’s race, ahead of Chase Elliott and Blaney at 13/1. Elliott is the reigning NASCAR Cup Series regular season champion. Joey Logano and Kyle Larson round out the top five at 14/1.

Salt Lake City hosts NBA All-Star Game
Fresh off setting the NBA’s career scoring record last week, LeBron James will serve as one of two captains at Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game. James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will select the starting lineups for both squads.
Since the game began using an “Elam Ending” in 2020, the total has yet to exceed 325 points. Under the Elam Ending format, the two teams end the game by playing to a targeted score established in the fourth quarter.
