Let’s break down the day, and this inviting PointsBet bonus offer.

$500 in Second Chance Bets on PointsBet

Today we’ve got major European soccer games, NBA, NHL, and of course, Game 1 of the World Series to look forward to on Friday. That’s a lot of sports… but PointsBet is offering a lot of second chance bets. Through our new PointsBet offer new users are invited to sign up, deposit, and the sportsbook will then offer the ‘second chance’ perk on your first five bets, each up to $100, over your first five days as a bettor.

Breaking down the PointsBet bonus

So here’s how it works: First, click this link and create your PointsBet account. Afterwards, PointsBet will apply the “second chance” label to your first bet of the day for five consecutive days. With the second chance bets you can wager up to $100 and if it loses, PointsBet will compensate you with a free bet of equal value. If you bet and lost $100 on your first wager, PointsBet will credit you with a $100 free bet to match. Think of it as a sort of bet refund, but instead of getting your cash back, you’re getting a second chance to bet and win.

Only your first wager each day will count towards this promotion. So if you signed up with PointsBet today, Thursday, and placed an opening wager (day 1), your first bet on Friday (day 2), Saturday (day 3), Sunday (day 4), and Monday (day 5) will all fall under the ‘second chance’ promotion. Similarly, if you skip a day, you don’t get it back… you just have less opportunity for free bets.

In total, the promotion is good for 5 x $100 “second chance bets”.

Bonus T&C on PointsBet

Thursday Europa League Soccer

The action gets underway early today with the UEFA Europa League and the fifth round of the group stage. Some of the largest clubs in Europe will take the field including Arsenal, Manchester United, PSV, Lazio, Monaco, and Roma. There are two separate waves of games for the Europa League, the first starting at 12:45pm ET, and the second at 3:00pm ET. There will essentially be 5 hours of competitive afternoon soccer and PointsBet has odds on all of them.

Thursday Night Football – Bucs vs. Ravens

The marquee matchup on today’s calendar is Thursday Night Football featuring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Baltimore Ravens. After a few Thursday duds, last week’s Cardinals/Saints game finally brought some fireworks, ending with 76 total points. Week 8 could bring more of the same.

Tom Brady and the Buccaneers are currently just a 1 point favorite (-1, -120 ML) against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens (+1, +105 ML). The total is set a tasty-for-Thursday 46 points.

As always, PointsBet has a full collection of available bets for every football game including plenty of player props. PointsBetting is also an excellent option for football games allowing those with a slightly larger tolerance for risk to potentially win big.

Thursday Night Football begins at 8:15pm ET and is broadcast on Amazon Prime Video.

NHL Thursday Betting on PointsBet

PointsBet is an official betting partner of the NHL, and that will be on full display Thursday night with ten exciting games on the schedule. The first puck drops at 7pm ET, with Panthers-Flyers, Wild-Senators, Red Wings-Bruins, and Canadiens-Sabres. Blues-Predators starts at 8pm ET, and Oilers-Blackhawks and Capitals-Stars begin at 8:30pm. Leafs/Sharks and Jets/Kings will provide the night cap beginning at 10:30pm ET.

If you’re a hockey enthusiast there’s a full slate of games, and PointsBet is offering a full slate of NHL betting markets.

NBA Season Continues

NBA season continues today with four new games on the calendar and PointsBet has them all:

  • Mavericks @ Nets – 7:30pm ET
  • Clippers @ Thunder – 8:00pm ET
  • Grizzlies @ Kings – 9:00pm ET
  • Heat @ Warriors – 9:00pm ET
