Deal also expands Horseshoe Baltimore's status for official casino partnership

The Baltimore Ravens and Caesars Entertainment announced a partnership Wednesday in which Caesars Sportsbook will be the NFL club’s “premier sports betting partner” while also expanding the Ravens’ relationship with Horseshoe Baltimore casino.

The five-year deal comes as Maryland attempts to move forward toward a potential sports betting launch at some point during the NFL season, which begins Thursday. The state’s Sports Wagering Application Review Committee held its first meeting last month, while the Maryland Lottery and Gaming CommissionΒ proposed wagering rules in mid-July that have yet to be finalized.

As part of the deal, Caesars Sportsbook gets naming rights throughout the club level of M&T Bank Stadium and additional exposure via animated signage displays across the stadium’s LED boards. Caesars Sportsbook will also be the title partner on the team’s digital pre-game show for each regular-season home contest on the team’s official website and the title sponsor of the Flock Pick 6 game on BaltimoreRavens.com and the team’s mobile app.

β€œWe’re excited to grow our strategic partnership with the Baltimore Ravens by serving as the two-time Super Bowl champions’ official sports betting partner and expanding our role as the team’s only casino partner,” said Caesars Digital Co-President Chris Holdren in a statement. β€œThis new agreement clearly establishes Caesars Sportsbook and Horseshoe Baltimore as the team’s most prominent sports betting partner and provides our customers with extraordinary access to Ravens games, signature events at M&T Bank Stadium, Ravens training camp β€” even the team’s away game trips and the Super Bowl.”

Caesars Sportsbook will also be the exclusive title sponsor of all digital content related to the NFL Draft as covered and posted by the team on its official website for two weeks leading up to the draft.

β€œThis agreement represents a bold expansion of the winning relationship we already share with Caesars and Horseshoe Baltimore,” said Baltimore Ravens Chief Sales OfficerΒ Kevin Rochlitz. β€œWe are constantly exploring ways to create additional opportunities to engage with our fans and introduce our team to new audiences, while supporting the city we call home. In collaboration with Caesars and Horseshoe Baltimore, we are not only continuing to develop unique fan activations but also transforming the city’s Southern Gateway into a diversified entertainment district unavailable to sports fans in other NFL markets.”

The Ravens, who made BetMGM an official gaming partner in mid-May shortly after Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan signed the bill implementing the state’s sports betting regulatory framework, begin their season Monday night on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Leveraging the April deal with the NFL that extended Caesars’ status as the league’s official casino sponsor, Horseshoe Baltimore will host an annual signature event on the stadium club level and hold pre-game events there with two former Ravens players for up to 100 guests. The casino will be the title sponsor of Ravenstown Saturday night, which features a reception on the club level of M&T Bank Stadium the evening prior to Sunday Ravens home games, and guests will be able to participate in a Q&A with Ravens alumni as well as tour the locker room and field.

β€œBy growing our longstanding partnership with the Baltimore Ravens, we are able to provide our guests with even more of the legendary experiences the Horseshoe brand is known for,” said Horseshoe Baltimore Senior Vice President and General ManagerΒ Randy Conroy. β€œOur customers bleed Ravens purple, so we’re excited to be able to offer them greater access to the team than ever before.”

Horseshoe Baltimore is currently in the process of adding a retail sportsbook to its venue, and both the team and casino are developing an entertainment district along the Warner Street corridor linking the casino to M&T Bank Stadium.

All wagers made through the Caesars Sportsbook mobile betting app can be tied to the Caesars Rewards loyalty program.
