Just in time for the Indianapolis Colts’ Thursday Night Football game, Smarkets announced Tuesday morning that it has fully launched its SBK Sportsbook, powered in part by its sports betting exchange, in Indiana, six months after soft launch in the state. SBK Sportsbook includes a social media community where bettors can post their bets or follow picks from other customers. According to a company press release, it offers “market-leading odds.”
SBK Sportsbook is currently offering zero-margin odds for Thursday’s Colts vs. Denver Broncos game, which means, for example, that the Colts would be +3.5 at -105 and the Broncos would be -3.5, at +105, according to the press release. SBK Sportsbook is also offering a “Bet $20, Get $100” signup offer in Indiana.
SBK Sportsbook is available for download for both iPhone and Android users, and includes a prediction market as well as the traditional sportsbook options. The company says it offers “industry-disrupting odds,” which it draws from its exchange, though the exchange is not currently available in U.S. markets.
SBK expanding through U.S.
The launch is the second in the U.S. for SBK Sportsbook, which went live in Colorado in 2020. The company has plans to launch in Iowa “in the coming months.”
“We have a lot of momentum as a company right now, the launch is Indiana is just one of many more exciting milestones on the horizon,” Smarkets CEO and founder Jason Trost said via press release. “We are simply not like other operators; our focus is on providing the best odds possible and in-house product excellence, and we believe this ethos will win out in the long run.”
London-based SBK Sportsbook has a partnership with Full House Resorts, which allowed for market access in Indiana through the company’s Rising Star Casino.
Since Indiana regulators launched the state’s first digital platforms in October 2019, more than a dozen have gone live around the state. The most recent launch was MaximBet, which debuted last week.
