USBookmaking Expands Reach With Tribal Gaming Vendor Group

Offering turnkey approach for members

Nevada-based USBookmaking is affiliating with TribalValue, a clearing house for Native American casino vendors. The plan is to offer sports betting risk management and operational expertise to tribal casinos as sports wagering becomes legal in each tribe’s state.

The arrangement was announced Tuesday.

TribalValue is a division of TribalHub. TribalValue provides a group discount offered by its vendor partners seeking to offer specialized services to Native American organizations, enterprises and tribal members.

Innovator Vic Salerno concentrating on tribal markets

Vic Salerno, the Nevada bookmaking pioneer and American Gaming Association Hall of Fame member, heads USBookmaking. The company currently operates a sportsbook at Santa Ana Star Casino  Casino & Hotel, a tribal casino/resort near Albuquerque. Operations there launched in October 2018, becoming the first retail sportsbook in the Western U.S. to go live.

When PASPA, the federal law banning full-fledged sports wagering was ruled unconstitutional last May, Santa Ana Star operators and USBookmaking quickly determined that the tribe’s current compact with the state allows sport wagering. The state is not contesting that interpretation, and subsequently other tribes in New Mexico, including at the Hilton Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino in Sante Fe, began offering or soon will offer retail sports betting.

USBookmaking is offering a complete turn-key casino sportsbook solution, according to the company. By providing the bookmaking talent, customer support, sports betting platform and daily betting propositions, TribalValue says new tribal casino sportsbook need not sign multiple contracts for vendor services.

Salerno is a longtime leader in the sports wagering industry. His many accomplishments include introducing computerized sports betting in Nevada in 1989 and creating the initial mobile app for sports betting in 2010.

Options for customers

According to TribalValue, USBookmaking business plans generally call for a negotiated overall revenue split. USBookmaking says it can provide complete services, except for the equipment needed to open a physical sportsbook. Generally, USBookmaking profits from a negotiated percentage of net gaming revenues from wagers.

Tom Willer, Marketing Director at USBookmaking, said his company is offering TribalValue users a wide variety of operational and branding options.

TribalHub, based in Michigan, operates independently from any specific tribe. In addition to providing vendor solutions for its members, the organization hosts a variety of conferences and educational programs. An online purchasing portal connects individual or business consumers with the offers “leveraged through the aggregated purchasing power of TribalValue,” according to the organization.

Tribal operations constitute a majority of casino operations in numerous states nationwide. Many believe such operations will eventually constitute a large number of sports wagering marketplaces as compacts are renegotiated, where necessary, to allow sports wagering.
